He's okay for me now. Not any favourite, but he's okay. And I'm glad he is, he's a very anxious man, and still in recovery I think.”

So now you imagine he likes John and hates gemma (ie he now shares your view) you don't mind him?
Well colour me surprised.

He's been fine in there, he has never really changed his view on John or Gemma BTW

I always thought he was a basically nice, dull bloke who is a bit self obsessed.

I still do.

I don't think Darren himself has found his personality yet - he's in recovery and is still very much work in progress. The years of hell raising has knocked his confidence for six and he's been left struggling with a whole host of insecurities. He's done well, and had a bit of fun with the tasks, but he's seemed too scared to properly relax and let his hair down.

From what I've seen he actually HAS become more relaxed and amusing and less anxious.

He said himself that he really likes John and hopes that they'll be friends.

Of COURSE if he shares my view I'm going to like him more. It wouldn't be my view if I thought I was wrong.

And you think he hasn't changed, whatever he says, because that suits YOUR view.

You see into his heart with your Grozzy superpowers, presumably.

Yes it has. I thought he was a ****** in IACGMOOH and now I realise he is an even bigger one than I thought. I'm also mystified as to why all the girls in the house think he is so good looking. He does ZERO for me.

To be fair, Ms bumparty, there aren't really many men in the house.

And Darren isn't a bad looking man.

I think it is either (1) cabin fever (2) a group delusion or (3) they really are that desperate.

Nothing else explains it for me. He's just average looking and a bit wet.

I didn't know anything about Darren before BB or why he's famous just that he was a love-rat and had a drug problem now I think he's a moaning love-weasel and such a bore.

Yes, I thought he would be like David Van Day who was very full of himself on a singing show I watched, totally deluded.

However, I find him very likeable and can understand how he feels about things. I hope things work out for him, his wife sounds lovely.

I do think he is good looking, he doesn't look 47.

No it hasn't changed but only because I didn't know about the drink, drugs & women. I vaguely knew he had a bit of a playboy reputation when he was younger but nothing more.

Yes it does matter because known names bring in large audiences and as Darren was in what could be termed family friendly shows, the lifestyle he was leading would have put some people off. I don't know but it is likely that he was also unreliable and could well have alienated some of the cast & crew when his behaviour was at its worst.

Yeah but for the worse. He seems like a spineless cretin from watching the show.

No, he has the exact opposite problem, constipation!

I didn't say he hasn't changed, they've all changed I said I hasn't changed his view regarding John or gemma, as you'd previously stated that he now likes John and sees through gemma. Which is fantasy IMO.

I'm not bothered what he thinks of them as I don't care about them so I have no heart in the mix to influence my view.

I don't necessarily like a person just because they share a view with me, in the same way that I don't necessarily dislike somebody who disagrees with me.
I'm not that ruthless or single minded

We saw him clear the air with John, first via the food fight they had and then again during the press conference

That's just a difference of opinion that they got over , it doesn't change a persons overall view of a person
Well not for me, I'm stable enough to agree or disagree with someone on an issue without changing the entire way I see that person.
