I wonder if she was reluctant but pushed into do Strictly like Emily Maitlis said she was. I always thought Carol was a bit unhappy and embarrassed with all of it tbh, underneath the very polished ever-present "joy" she professed, which I thought seemed forced.

The experience "changed her shape" much of which she has so far retained, so I'm sure she's happy with that.
