It's OK ucra girl, I get you. Some people just love to spout their spite. Yet in the process, they don't seem to realise - or care - just how poorly they come across

If I am honest, that is a parenting issue not Steph's.I am not surprised that her Dad is supporting Jez now because it was a mistake to let her move in with Sam at that age.I agree with Jez saying they should take a breather and date properly.

How could her Dad had stopped her? She was 20/21 wasn't she? She was working and earning her own money.

Are you absolutely serious?

Sure is. I seem to recall that Dave the Sensible always cracked the biscuits out at moments like this, so I brought the tin. Anyone?

It is Stephs issue if she is the one being affected by seemingly poor parenting.

For once I agree with you. I think most of the girl's problems stem back to a need for Steph to know herself. My prescription would be to take time out and not look to boyfriends and parents to cling to, but instead to learn to just be.

I agree. Can't see that happening though specially as she was ready to "get laid byJez" on Tuesday.

You can't stop your daughter at the age of 22 moving in with anybody, all you can do is give advice, up to them if they accept it or not. ^

No you can't and whats more you can't even if they are 15. The daughter of a former colleague of mine left home and moved in with a boyfriend at 15 and it turns out there isn't a great deal you can do about it.

At 15 she's a minor though. Can't the police do something about it?

That is sad but understandable, I have seen it happen with a friend's 13 year old who decided they wanted to live with his father, nothing the mother could do, the Judge went on where the child wanted to live.

Just at 22, they are no longer a child and a fully responsible adult who can decide, where and with who they want to live. As a parent, what can you do, zero, have to step back if you give advice and they don't listen?

Ok not feeling well, I have some sort of bug so I'm going back to bed, have a good day everyone and hope to be on tonight.

Apparently not or at least nothing sustainable. They can go and talk to her and potentially arrest her depending on the circumstances. They can then drive her home and then.....
