Well they've got some of it wrong. Angie WAS told about David Bowie's passing off camera.

I agree with nearly every word, apart from;
And as for the moment when they showed Angie Bowie’s reaction to David’s death to viewers – after being told she would be informed off camera – well, let’s not even go there.

This is a lie, the news was broken to her by her 'representatives' off camera.

BB is now low rent and dedicated to causing fights wherever possible, no self-respecting celeb should go anywhere near it in future.

Excellent article. Would be "post of the month", for me, if it was submitted on here.

I think this part is almost factually correct:

"And as for the moment when they showed Angie Bowie’s reaction to David’s death to viewers – after being told she would be informed off camera – well, let’s not even go there."

They said her reaction. Which was clearly shown in that footage in the DR very shortly after being told. And at the time, I thought that was pretty close to the bone.

Still a great series though

I have only fot to the 4th paragraph and already find it innaccurate. It talks about the frequency of face to face nominations and diary room violations as if this is new. Its not new. Its been going on at least 3 years if not longer.

Last 3 years is new !. It's also one of the most annoying aspects of the C5 era ...........Along with Mrs Willis pretending to get excited about never-ending twists that will change the World FOREVER !>>>>

I always thought the diary room was for a housemates private thoughts on whats going on in there not to be kept and showed to cause more friction. the show has had it, and instead of them building bigger premises they should demolish the lot..

Excellent article.

And no , it wasn't factually incorrect because Angie was told about her ex husband's death off camera and the article refers to her 'reaction' to the news.

I haven't watched too much of the last two series because when I settle down in the evening for a bit of telly I usually go for the option of least telling, nastiness and unpleasantness - it's why I don't watch Eastenders - but I guess I'm in the minority because the more Channel5 hype the rows and bad behaviour, the more viewers they get, so don't expect things to change anytime soon.

But we didn't see her immediate reaction (nor should we). She had already been told and spoken to her agent before we saw her. We do not know how much time had lapse. Could have been several hours. She had the option to leave & chose not to. Although obviously a large part of her life, Angie had no contact with DB (or Duncan) for decades. I don't think C5 were wrong to show it. But I do agree about the diary rom moms stuff, showing that can only be to hurt and antagonise.

A good article from Metro, that's a shocker.

It's true though, it just highlights how Channel 5 have butchered the show.
