I used to think it was selfish to say you love yourself first before I went to counselling after my sister died. They made me realise that I shouldn't say that I put my children before myself because I need the strength to be able to take care of my children

Yeah, as life codes go, this makes sense.

I think it is 'love yourself' first because you cannot truly love others if you do not love yourself first as we are supposedly 'one'

Tiffany's life code is pretty near to my own. I have learned after many years to love myself first - I have to because I look after an elderly ill mum and mum in law pretty much on a daily basis. I have to love myself to have the energy to cope with the challenges the mummies bring me so my time is my time for one example. Loving me I must add includes having fun with Celeb BB and this forum too

I think if you don't believe in God and people say love God or thank God to think of it in terms of just being thankful for the gift of life and send out love to the universe you are a part of.
