My problem is the double standards , no disgust at Scotty saying how much he is looking forward to todger action etc, but frank sexual talk from a woman is disgusting, revolting etc.

Some people celebrate her every phrase like she is some great wit and raconteur.

I don't see anything sexist here. People are merely replying to a post about Tiffany, not Scotty T. I suspect that most of us who find this distasteful in Tiffany find it equally so in Scotty. There are some things I don't need or wish to know.

And for the record I like Tiffany and hopes she wins but that doesn't mean I have to love and laud all aspects of her.

Yes. I'm beginning to think the woman could fart the entire way through her interview and her fans would clap. The praise she's getting is mind boggling.

What I was referring to is the internalized double standards that many women carry around with them thanks to societal conditioning - of which partly stems from internalized sexism. When men carry those double standards it is partly due to the fact that we live in a patriarchal society. That is where the sexism comes in. There are a lot of things people do not need to know, but they seek the info out anyway. Now wishing is something else entirely. Let's keep in mind that the reason why many people would find Tiffany's one liners annoying or revolting is because they simply do not like her, so they are not going to see the clear humor that she infuses most of her comments with, because they are already switched off by her. But for a lot of the things she does, she is CLEARLY ****ing around. The only thing I don't like about her overtly sexual behavior is that those men in there want no part of her, and it looks a bit undignified for her to keep throwing herself at guys who don't even want to see her, much less entrtain her sexually. But still she should be allowed to be overtly sexual. Scotty T is a disrespectful monster when it comes to the way he treats women sexually, and he gets all the praise in the world. She can be a bit extra too, but it is funny to me at times, even though it can be annoying. other than that, Tiff is harmless, has provided entertainment, personality, and has been a fabulous housemate this year.

Either way, I feel like people don't have to choose to be as offended as they often are by Tiffany and some of her comments. Innocent children are being bombed in Syria, yet a lady talking about her natural urges is revolting and pathetic.

I'm male. I think it's horrible the way she's acting. But for some reason everyone thinks she's entertaining. You may think "well people have needs", and yes they do. But I'm sure Darren has felt aroused. I'm sure John has. I'm sure they ALL have. But the thing is, they all realise that the only person who cares is themselves.

Throwing yourself at anything with a penis like that is pathetic and desperate. It's such a shame. And the fact that she's spouting this and everyone is applauding her makes me worry.

Not at all. I said 'assuming that this poster is a female,' because there was no way for me to prove you were a male or female either way. If you go back and read my previous posts to alter_ego_cat, you will see that you being a male does not negate what I was saying, as it still holds with you being a male. I think your views are SEXIST. You do not have to agree with me. I mentioned in my above post that I feel the WAY she goes on with her overt sexuality can be undignified, but there is nothing wrong with just saying what she said, in my opinion. Men saying this type of stuff is encouraged, accepted, and even praised. Yet when women do it, it is revolting, pathetic, and they are slags. You said 'slag' a typical sexism slut-shaming term. Those double standards inlarge part originate from a sexist mindset. Love how a lot of the time, all men want from women is sex, and then the moment women actually show that they are interested in the very sex that many men are often after, they are whores or slags. I think that guys who think that way need to examine why it is that once they have had sex with a woman, her value to them has decreased, and she is now a slag or a whore. Perhaps because they know that their touch takes one's value down a few notches.
