Surely that was the worst moment in BB history

Don't think they can stoop any lower now - bar actually throwing people into a pit and prodding them with sticks, while we all watch and scream about it on here.

That "press conference" was the worst form of bullying I've ever seen on the show. What they did to John - and I'm not his biggest fan - was truly a disgrace.

They goaded ALL of them (apart from Scotty-T, your winner or runner-up tomorrow night).

Steph was supposedly "cheered on" - but I'm telling you now it was to generate the outcome we saw which was for her to formally ditch Sam on national TV - when they said to her "He's been CASHING IN".

Pathetic

The whole sorry mess was a shambles wasn't it.

Really felt for John and what the heck with Steph. Thought they were going to announce her as winner there and then.

I give up.

It was the most mean-spirited task ever. Can't believe they thought it was a good idea.

It was pure nasty. I really felt sorry for John.

This is why I have tuned off these past few days. The madness is getting worse and worse.

I agree with you about Steph. A lot on here have said it was her "redemption" arc but I feel, as you say, it was set up to have another pop at her over the Sam/Jeremy thing. All the stuff about her dad was just build up to it.

Not in terms of BB producers acting as Capitalist Whores and that's what the OP is about
who, me?

I actually feel furious. Not only at the depths they sank to, but at the lies we are being spun. Watching Scotty T go through the motions telling Megan that he cared for her and they'd have to see how it went on the outside when it seems he has a girlfriend. You know the really sad thing? Big Brother started out as reality television. And this is what 'reality' has become. Not very coherent of me I know, but as someone who has watched Big Brother for years and years, I feel ashamed to be watching this drivel tonight.

Sam has been cashing in. Whats going on PAs with megan, signing his autographs for the fame that steph has earned him, if not cashing in?

BB could've intervened though and stopped the bullying. They didn't though because it was increasing their ratings and getting them the publicity they wanted...

Think them showing knicker-gate was worse. As was them sending in Gillian to mess with peoples heads (beyond unethical, IMO, all housemates who had to endure the mind-meddling of that quack should sue). That said, the press conference was disgusting. I'm no fan of John, but really felt for him.

That's not the point of the thread. I support Steph. But the thread's not about that

Did you not see the last years 'press conference'? That was just a pure, unrestrained Perez hate mob. This was tame in comparison.

Of course it is. They waited for a Jade V Shilpa eviction to cash in and the eviction was watched by 8.8m peak.

It was a bit of a giveaway that he wasn't asked about his supposed girlfriend on the outside

He did do and say those things.

The worst moment was last week when we saw the housemate's excrement. It only goes up from there.

Fair enough, your view. This was worse to me because it wasn't about the HMs "interacting" anymore. It sort of broke the "fourth wall", in the most direct way I've seen, by goading and cajoling and bullying them into submission - by the BB producers themselves. And that's never what BB was about.
