it was horrible to watch and another BB low
but sadly BB seems to only want to appeal to the GS etc. mentality who probably loved it

I don't know how you can say this was worse then the race row?! It practically ruined the brand and damaged the shows reputation beyond repair...

I'm telling you not. That painted Steph in a bad light in my opinion. And I like Steph. But they very snidely got her to spout what she said at the end there

Channel 5 producers are just reflecting their sadistic ways in the house & call it entertainment that's Channel 5 for you

I can just imagine the tasks if the channel 5 mob were in charge then.

BB: HMs which HM said "They eat with their hands don't they?It must make them sick, no wonder they're so thin"?

BB: Shilpa your secret task is to annoy the rest of your fellow HMs by throwing all the Oxo cubes in the bin and have a big tantrum. If any of the HMs realise you are on a task you won't get a party tonight. If you get punched in the face you'll earn an extra 4 bottles of champagne.

etc.......

Perhaps I should have worded the thread title differently.

It's the worst moment created by the BB producers themselves (as I explained above) - and in that sense, for me, makes it THE worst moment.

The other "moments" you and the other poster mentioned were related to HM interactions (even if influenced by the production team).

It's no longer BB.

Me too ... can't raise enough enthusiasm to bother.

Feeling too much discomfort with what I feel is the ongoing public humiliation of Sam by Stephanie and some ex-housemates even though he himself has not spoken publicly ... the show has not felt entertaining to me any more, I just feel uncomfortable and I cringe at the thought of watching Steph and her antics

It's brutal but the way it turned out, I thought the HMs kicked the hacks' butts.

That "press conference" was the worst form of bullying I've ever seen on the show. What they did to John - and I'm not his biggest fan - was truly a disgrace.

They goaded ALL of them (apart from Scotty-T, your winner or runner-up tomorrow night).

Steph was supposedly "cheered on" - but I'm telling you now it was to generate the outcome we saw which was for her to formally ditch Sam on national TV - when they said to her "He's been CASHING IN".

Pathetic”

Very bad taste but this is what BB production team have resorted to, it's getting worse every year I hang in there but don't crave my BB fix any more...this year has been dire and I bet Scotty T will win, oh what a shock

Stupid task and didn't add anything positive to the show. Why was the viewer allowed so much time on the mic I wanted her to sit down and shut up.

Yeh, appreciate that.

But John was unfairly humiliated and looked truly beaten up (and it was on the back of a looong day for him, where the producers seemed intent on winding him up). I really felt it was scraping the bottom of the barrel.

And they brought the worst out in Steph by cleverly pressing her immature buttons. Just so they could get good "copy" in the morning.

I've loved a lot of this series, but have had to "turn a blind eye" to the production team antics. This just reached the pits

It made for hideously uncomfortable viewing. The vile cynical producers must have loved it. Never seen so many mean-minded, sneering people in one place.

Yeh, I think that's a perfect description of why I felt the way I did.

It was like being back in the playground.

I know many of us hark back to the channel 4 days when this was more a social experiment supposedly based on '1984' but now it has turned more into the gladiatorial arena or bear baiting. There's very little enjoyment in it now, if the housemates look as though they are getting on, BB will throw a spanner in the works. I wouldn't even mind if the tasks were well thought out but this year I cannot think of one decent task where I could say 'that was a brilliant idea. '

I think compared to stuff that goes on these days, that CBB was mild.

Time and time again I've said 'and they went mad at what Jade did?'.

But then, I, as someone who abhors racism, didn't consider that Jade was a racist. She was someone with a temper, who was under a lot of pressure, having her mum in the house, and having been annoyed by Shilpa previously behaving a bit like a princess.

I was more offended by Danielle and Jo laughing - and Danielle saying the Oxo-cube argument gave her entertainment.

Agree with this, in fact I can't remember any task this series ? The tasks seems to be a constant who said this and who said that just to start an argument - so predictable.

I have enjoyed this series though as there were some moments of wtf - the what David is dead moment and some of Tiff's comments and John nominating Darren etc etc but I do miss how BB was.

If he wanted to "cash in" as you claim, he would be on every tv show (Gemma has been on three today, despite claiming she was desperate to get back to work in her shop).
He would be giving interviews left right and centre to newspapers and magazines.

But we haven't heard a peep. He has kept a dignified silence throughout. Unlike Stephanie who literally and metaphorically aired her dirty laundry for the world and his dog to see.

👏👏👏 completely agree, they are at pains to paint Sam as the bad guy but have so little to back it up.

BB has regressed into Jeremy Kyle territory. No friction causing task or gossip-revealing gimmick is spared to create upset and arguments, no topic is too lewd or disgusting not to be featured in the main show, and housemate's reputation's and feelings are regarded as disposable in order to (uncomfortably) entertain us.
