I wonder if they'll send out another 'survey' after this series asking us what we want - and then blatantly continuing on their own merry way. I can no longer persuade myself that this is 'reality' TV. There's no reality left in it. I've never watched TOWIE or MIC or GS, but I feel like I've been force-fed that rubbish continually since this series began. For me, the tipping point has come in realising that the whole thing is manufactured, scripted, faked. I feel patronised by producers who actually believe that they are producing entertainment. This is bear-pit television. I watched it, but I hated it.”

A few years back, i could never understand why people would say things like "i'm embarrassed to be watching this", i think i get it now though. This show isn't TOWIE, MIC or GS, but it seem's like it now wants to be all of these shows in one........i detest all 3 of those shows and find them an embarrassment to human intelligence.

Everything about this show now is about humiliating HM's and trying to make them argue. That isn't the reason why i started watching the show and it's not what i want to see now either.

When i watch the main show and BBBOTS and i see these people act like animals, i always wonder if this show is for me anymore. It's so messed up. Every BBBOTS you see the audience and panel going on about how great it is when a HM is humiliated or if a bunch of HM's get into a big argument. This is all they seem interested in, these people don't understand the real Big Brother at all. Channel 5 cater to the casual audience now, the real fans are pushed away.

The only bit of real Big Brother that we get and i'm not embarrassed to watch is the tiny bit of live feed we get, that is real Big Brother. It's not looking for arguments, it's not looking to humiliate HM's, it's just what Big Brother was meant to be, watching people in house and seeing how they interact with each other. The live feed is the best part about this show, it always has been, but Channel 5 don't think it's needed. They just don't get the show at all.

Amen. The hope everyone clings to that it will somehow go back to its proper self persists, but sadly we all know different.

Well said. I didn't have any problem with John apart from the odd lapse of judgment and small, human character flaw - and how likely is it that any HM would/should display neither in the circumstances? I make poor judgments daily & that's in normal life. One thing that continues to surprise me on the forums is how over-the-top people go in their analysis of fairly unremarkable behaviours - and how much conviction they have in their character assassinations.

The asking which-HM-said-what-about-whom 'tasks' are incredibly boring and have been done to death. As many have said, the pyschological aspect is what I watched BB for in the past, especially the subtle things (the unlikely friendships, the unexpected sides to people) but this pitting people against each other is just hitting the mind games aspect over the head instead of letting friction occur naturally. Oddly, the one very 'Big Brother' aspect to this is how far the HMs go along with it, instead of revolting.

It isn't so much that I feel embarrassed to admit I watch it now, as that I would have nothing to tell anyone who doesn't. I used to tell non-watching friends bits about it, why the human nature aspect was interesting, & any highlights, but David Gest was 'it' this year - not a single other moment worth relating. Tbh the main reason I won't be watching in future is that there is a constant pattern to each series for me now, in that there are 1 or 2 contestants I don't want to watch who stay until too late in the day for me to be able to enjoy watching the others. Personal taste ofc but it's every series now.

You will be able to draw on all your vast BB knowledge. Would you be a bit sketchy as a HM though?

I will not be watching the summer series that's for sure.

I normally enjoy CBB but I think I'm getting to the point where I can't really be bothered now.

Like John, I think I'm done.

I agree, John's slow hand clapping and woo hoos just about summed up the way I felt about it this year. Predictable secret missions and endless quizzes based on what HMs had said about each other.

I can remember the times when it used to be shocking when they revealed to the house private diary room moments. Now it means nothing - even the HMs were desensitised by the end. Sometimes less is more......

Well I am a colourful character although people don't always get my point. Maybe I need to sharpen up a bit - I do tend to doodle,
