HDR2000T question
I have a Humax HDR2000T and also a Technika AEDTR160S7. With the Technika, when I swich it on (and the TV is on) it automatically switches to the Recorder; With the Humax, I have to go to the AV button on the TV remote and change it to HDR2 and then back again . Also, when switching to the Technika it's almost instant, but with the Humax, there's a considerable delay. Are there settings which would correct these things?
Regards and thanks in advance |

I take it the Humax is connected via HDMI and the Technika by SCART?
Both connection types have control signal options that allow a TV to detect when a device turns on and switch to the appropriate input. Trouble is I don't think the Humax uses the HDMI option. Hence why it doesn't switch. If the 2000 is anything like my old Fox-T2 it can take a while to get going from stand-by. Not a lot you can do if the Humax does not support HDMI control and is slow to start up, certainly no user settings to change that behaviour that I can find. |

The only serious annoyance I've found with it is the very loud rasping sound through the TV speakers when the Humax splash screen appears. I always have to make a dive for the mute button on the TV remote to prevent it.

If Power saving in standby is switched off our HDR-2000T is much quicker to boot up than the HDR-FOX T2.

Sorry, I may have misunderstood you. Does the Fox T2 also have the "eco" stand by where I presume everything is shut down bar the clock but in ordinary stand by the bulk of it is still working but with the HDD and output circuits shut down? If so then I suppose the only reason is that it has a lot more to "boot up".

My 2000T was on Eco mode by default when I bought it which meant that it had to be 'ON' for the aerial feed through to work. Now it's Eco mode 'OFF' and I don't need the PVR on to watch the television. It does take a lot longer to start from standby than my old 9200 does though, and momentarily kills the signal to the TV whilst it boots up.
