Some of the replies seem more then a little bitter...and the claims a bits absurd ...

I'm sure some have been fooled into calling by the post. I'm people call and accidentally put in the wrong number and vote for the wrong house mate. I'm sure that supports for all contestants pass around the wrong number on social media to trick people into voting for their favorite.
But clearly it would not be fair to cancel all his votes. the vast majority of them will have fair and canceling them would put him at a huge disadvantage.

I saw someone yesterday claiming they had been fooled to call 20 times. I've never voted but surely when you do you get some kind of verification your call and vote was logged and i bet you get that message about the phone charge as well. You would have to be incredibly stupid to continue to call thinking "well maybe this time i'll get Gaz." A more realistic assessment of these claims is they are untrue.

Well they were trying to call Gaz.

If Scotty T wins now it has made the result meaningless as it will be a very hollow victory indeed thanks to his friend.

So Scotty T wins, BB viewers will think so what, it's not a proper win because it wasn't based on popularity, it was based on a trick. So how meaningful would a win like that be?

Scotty T can't really give a winning speech saying thank you to everyone who voted for him, he'd have to say thank you to everyone for being stupid enough to fall for the trick.

If this Gaz guy has 2m fans then CBB as a competition has been seriously compromised.

Well said..

He's played a blinder. C5 cannot be responsible for his posts or other people stupidity for falling for it

We're talking about young girls here surely? I think it's rather mean to call them idiots. Vulnerable young people yes, but that's who he was targeting.

C5 are not responsible no, but whatever you think about anyone who read that post and called that number expecting to speak to Gaz.... it does not make what he did right. The fact people DID ring that number for the reason posted is exactly why he did it and that is premeditated fraud in a nutshell!

I seriously doubt he'd care, he'd have the exposure of winning CBB, additional income and the adoring attention of his mindless public

Aren't Channel 5 and MTV owned by the same company? I wonder how long they knew about this? Scotty's agent has apologised regarding what he threatened to do to Tiffany tonight. Nice folk.

Well it wasn't remotely like that, it was the chance to talk to him, and it was aimed at youngsters who watch the show and who are besotted with him, of course they'll ring it.

I assume it's now a police matter. Unless fraud and scams are legal in the UK.
Taking advantage of young girls is nothing to applaud and I think less of anyone who doesn't get the seriousness of this. It isn't a laugh or a joke it's fraud and a crime.

I'd have the authorities looking into the legality of the 150 pound offer as well. These tricks have been tried in Australia and the perpetrators were dealt with legally.

It's right to make C5 aware of the phone scam . Ofcom will probably be involved .

The person to blame is this Gaz bloke for initiating the scam .
