This is so true. I had flu a few years ago. It was about day 3 when I got a phone call (from a relative) informing me I was about to inherit a sizeable sum of money for our circumstances at the time (£35,000) - my response on the phone was 'oh that's great' and the call ended. I genuinely couldn't move or even feel excitement. Had that news have come when I was feeling fully fit I would have been dancing about with excitement and making list of plans. As i had flu I could barely raise a smile and it took me about 3 weeks to get back to normal day to day things
