Jessie J: "The U.S celebrates me as one of the greatest"
Seriously?!! http://www.digitalspy.com/showbiz/ne...atest-singers/
She's dreaming. They don't celebrate her as one of the greatest at all. She's more popular over in the U.S than the U.K, but celebrated over there as one of the greatest?!! No! As for her comments about one day being up there with Whitney, Beyoncé, Aretha etc...she'd first need to learn how to not over sing and she'd also need to get good music. She's released three albums and her music has hardly set the world alight. |

Oh dear, if she actually said that then she is even more deluded than I originally thought. Her success is dwindling with each album and she's only had about three hits.

She has a strong voice but the woman definitely cannot sing. She overdoes every single line and ends up sounding awful.
Seems she has an inflated opinion of herself since going to the US too. I suspect her career will be over soon anyway as the UK is pretty much tired of her and as far as I know the US doesn't particularly care about her either. Oh well. |

This did give me a good laugh this morning I must admit. Her music is poor regardless of vocal ability. Plus the way she uses her vocal is irritating beyond belief.
Although I must say that the DS headline on the main page is somewhat misleading and paints her in a really bad light. She said she aims to be "up there with the Celine Dions", not that people think she is. Typical shoddy journalism from DS. |

Hopefully she'll stay believing this delusion and never come back to the UK!

She is so cocky and up her own arse.
I found that 2011/12 era when she was literally everywhere unbearable. |

Oh what a load of bollocks. She has either been misquoted or is talking out of her arse as usual
The US love her that much that her albums have sold poorly and one of them was considered so weak for an American audience, they never even bothered to release it. Plus she has only ever had two/three hit songs. I wouldn't class her as celebrated or even very successful. |

Let's look at the stats shall we:
WHO YOU ARE UK peak: 2 US peak: 11 UK certified: 4x Platinum US certified: none ALIVE UK peak: 3 US peak: didn't chart UK certified: Gold US certified: none SWEET TALKER UK peak: 5 US peak: 10 UK certified: Silver US certified: none SINGLES UK number 1s: 3 US number 1s: 0 UK top 40: 15 US top 40: 3 Don't kid yourself love! Your only major success story over there is Bang Bang going 5x Platinum. I used to like her, her music was edgy and catchy, then she released domino and it was like wow she can hit the high notes. But then the ego got to her. I'm sure I remember her once saying her songs deserved to be number 1 and she couldn't understand why they weren't all hitting the top spot. |

That was one heck of a downfall between album one and two.
Four times platinum certified which is 1 million 200,000 copies to just gold which is 100,000 copies. |

She was doing OK with her pretending to be edgy, oversung bubblegum pop until she took the disastrous decision to expose her truly awful personality to the GB population weekly on The Voice
Downhill from then on.....PS I don't suppose her announcing she was actually full on straight around the time of her trying to make herself happen in the US exactly enamoured her to certain sections of her fanbase either...

I really can't stand this chick. She is nothing but a gobshite with a deluded sense of self-importance. Does she really consider herself an American songbird with such all-time classics as 'Domino' and 'Bang Bang'? Her voice is nothing special, she just wails and warbles - it's strong and she can hit high notes but she's painful to listen to.
The reasons she isn't liked in the UK is because us Brits have a much lower tolerance for bullsh*t and fakery. |

![]() ![]() I quite liked her first album. Everything since has been gaudy, tuneless crap. Crawl back up your own arse, J-love. |

I don't like her at all. She seems to be one of the most overhyped and overrated singers on the planet. She had some hits but they hardly set the world alight. Only song of hers I hear being played anywhere at the moment is Bang Bang. When I first heard her she reminded me of Natasha Bedingfield with slightly different music. Her songs are nothing special and I don't like that screeching thing she does with her voice.

![]() I remember she turned up on The Graham Norton Show to sing "Masterpiece" and i felt she was very big headed. One thing she said was that she had become tired of singing her song, Price Tag at gigs so she just waves the mike towards the audience and since they know all the words they are affectively doing her job for her. She was also involved last year with the We Love Disney album where she did a cover of Part of My World from The Little Mermaid and in the little video clip I watched on YouTube, she just felt as though she couldn't be bothered being there. Another thing I found about when watching The Voice, that as soon as she was ditched as a coach and replaced with Kylie, the show suddenly felt so much better. |
