I know, we have seen it before with Channel 5, but it's seriously starting to grate on me now.

That 'press conference' was against everything this show stands for. Outside contact, outside information going into the house, those smug faces judging the HM's like they knew everything that is happening in that house. We see 40 minutes of highly edited footage, how can they feel that smug and act like they know everything about what is going on in there ?

The manipulation of it all was even worse.

Make John look like a villain.
Make Tiffany look like bed hopping freak.
Make Scotty T look all innocent.
Make Stephanie look like she has been on some crazy journey and come out of it looking like the good person.
Make Darren look like Mr nice guy.

If i was a HM i wouldn't sit there and let those people talk to me like that. Another terrible episode in a long list of terrible episodes on Channel 5.

It's like you have to lower your own morale's and level of intelligence to enjoy this show anymore. It makes me wish i hadn't got so involved in it back when it was on Channel 4, it would be so much easier to give up now if i hadn't.

BB hasn't been truly great since about 2006, the last few years on channel 4 were crap

You think this is bad?
Imagine what BB this summer is going to be like...
Bet we get no live feed, no updates, worst than last years lot, which will be shocking

Yep, agree with all this. Although the rot had started to form on C4 it is Channel 5 who have completely changed everything that was once great about Big Brother (in terms of it being purely a social experiment).
Now they seem to only want to make a programme with conflict and tension!

What's happened to the tasks? They are all based on tweets, disclosing diary room entries and face to face noms (which used to be a novelty).

You know what will happen? Housemates will become guarded and no longer express their true feelings in the DR for fear of exposure.

And Step and Scotty T's secret mission last night...surprised the housemates didn't clock it. They won't be able to do those much soon - becoming way too obvious...Surprised they didn't guess to be honest.

BB will have to UP their game for the next show , as no one with any cred will want to be on it..

Totally agree.
The demonization of John was truly unforgivable. On top of that, there was the infantile task set Steph and Scotty T - surely aimed at John, to set him off?
As you say, those smug faces all sitting in judgement? Luisa and Megan both know the atmosphere in the house, and yet they had the cheek to criticise? Scotty T, as usual walks away looking like an angel. Is it true or not, that he also has a girl on the outside?
I just may have had enough now, may not bother with the summer version whether the 'so-called' Celebrity or basic. Having introduced all this interaction with the outside, information being given to HM's, letting them pick and choose which tasks they take part in......[the list is endless], I can't see them retracing their steps and going back to the original format any time soon!

And no-one with a life will want to watch it.

Every time a BB comes to an end Tooth Boy asks his panel members to comment on something and without fail one of them "has to say" words to the effect that this is by far the best BB they have ever seen, so much going on, such drama, the excitement etc, etc.

Are they watching something I am not?

Every one gets worse and worse and is now a very cheap, infantile game show with no integrity and worse still, no point.
The winner achieves nothing as the show has been so manipulated that any win is a meaningless attainment.

I wish I could forget how enjoyable BB used to be as I keep watching in the hope it might go back to a vague semblance of its former self, but I seem to be stuck in a loop of hope and disappointment every time it comes on for a new series.

It was cringey and unwatchable on top of everything else.

Who was that really nasty camp-voiced "fan" who spoke to the HMs like they were convicted murderers??

I lose interest with all of this feedback and contact the HMs are getting while still in the house, I couldn't even bring myself to watch BOTS show. It spoils everything that BB used to be about.

Oh god, i hope not, i'm struggling with the show as it is

If it wasn't for the news about them wanting to extend the size of the house, i wouldn't be at all interested in the next series.

I honestly didnt mind this task because it was the last day. If the outside contact task was much earlier in the series or any of other point (and theres been much less of these this series). I wouldn't have liked it but the fact this task and the stirring task with the clips has been at the end, it hasnt bothered me in the slightest. Its the end. Who cares?

The press conference was brilliant, BB totally unsettled the contestants! I've really enjoyed this series, it's the first one I've followed in ages. Riveting!

I fazed out last night and catching up now . I am watching the Press Conference and John gets what being done . He knows it , we know it , he was stitched up and thrown under a bus to make room for a loud mouthed brat .
I am so over it now too John

BB Australia did no live updates for their last series, and viewers truly did have to wait until the next show to find out what was going on

I do wonder, with this news about the UK house being upgraded....Will they think "we'll have to cut costs and get rid of the live updates and/or live feed altogether"

I'm not a snob, nor a prude, and I'm probably going to sound a hundred years old, but this programme has been dumbed right down to a level that would leave most right thinking folk sickened. That said, it's representative of the way things are nowadays, certainly by the younger "reality type" generation. For any housemate with intelligence/morals, it messes with their psyche....dangerously so in my opinion.

Bib - it's been like that for a few years now. It's easier to give up now than ever - trust me, I managed it easily a way into this series for the first time ever. I just missed a show and never looked back (though I did check out Gemma's eviction interview and may now watch last night's BBOTS to see just how low they sank. I also watched last night's HLs as one last 'The GC' free last hurrah).

And there it is - why this sorry excuse for a show's still going. Just the smallest little bit of change and really very heavily disappointed viewers are prepared to go back for more

It was horrible last night. Worst episode yet. The press conference was ridiculous with very rude people there especially the hideous fatass Sarah who has taken the show literally especially with Scotty's and Megan's showmance.

However, it made me realize something that no matter how BB try to give Tiffany a bad edit she always overcomes it cause she has such quick wit and a beautiful way of words

I agree. These shows are now just really for 'reality' stars.

Next year they may as well just give them all a phone and access to the internet and visits from friends and families.

All of those have been done at least individually already in the last few years, haven't they?
