I don't think anyone has said the cameras are bad, but these days there is no shortage of phones with good cameras. It's all about the overall package.

I think the G4 is actually better value. Also has a larger display.

I got this phone as an upgrade yesterday. So far I'm very impressed.
Coming from an HTC M8, the LG's body doesn't feel as high quality, although there's not much in it. I haven't noticed any problems with rough corners and poor build quality so far. Re. comments about the fingerprint sensor; how did I live without this? It's an entirely instinctive method of unlocking a phone, and took me about thirty seconds to get used to it.
I use my phone extensively for work, mainly using proprietary software and google maps. After the first full overnight charge, having used it today for 11 hours there was over 50% remaining.
Very basic review, but I would give it a good 8.5/10 so far. One word of advice though; it is a very slippery phone. Order a case at the same time you order the phone.

Far better IMO to have the sensor on the back, for easy access every time you pick it up.
