Considering we're still in the "Zak just left his wife" storyline I could see it being Chas and Cain's Mother just to up the "Zak's a right bastard" angle [since Their mother was married to Shadrach, Zak's brother]

I'm actually looking forward to her coming back. I agree with those who say that the actress was quite limited and that did have a negative effect on the character at times, but maybe she just was too young at the time, and has improved since.

In general, I am not a fan of the "family member leaves never to be seen or mentioned again even though they supposedly live close by and used to be really close". I understand that actors want to try other things, so it's unavoidable in many cases, but it just feels so unnatural.

I would have loved the sisters to come to Adam's wedding. I know it wasn't planned, but it would have been a nice touch to show that he has family beyond Moira. And Moira herself really could do with someone female backup in the upcoming months, judging by what we have seen from Charity and Emma. Especially if Cain really ends up leaving her (not a spoiler, just speculation), it could leave Moira quite isolated as a character.

I think there are enough characters in Emmerdale without the need for new ones (unless it's a legendary character from the 90s, like Kathy or Zoe). Many are either overused or underused - it's basically a show about mean young people with Manchester accents nowadays.

I think Emmerdale has gone very downmarket in recent years, dominated by joyless, angry chavs like Aaron and Ross. A producer from Hollyoaks will make things a lot worse.

what basis have you got to say that?

the producer worked on corrie for much longer and where he learned his trade so to speak

he has said he likes the show how it is and is not going to change it

I wonder if the producer was coming from eastenders or doctors or from doing hr long dramas they would be getting the reaction they are.

seems some of the viewers of Emmerdale think they are Chrissie and a cut above

Let's hope not.

McLeod should have Mandy die offscreen, just to be on the safe side!

The Dingle family tree is a bit difficult to follow. I think Chas and Cain were brought up as brother and sister; but then it came out that their mother had an affair with their Uncle Zac, which resulted in Cain. So Chas and Cain are half-brother and sister.

So another Dingle may be on the horizon - love it to be Tina Zak and Nellie's daughter.

She would be ideal seeing Sam is her full brother and Belle her half sister and she has never met Belle. She would cause some mayhem in the Dales for sure.

Gordan's ex Sandra is joining and will be played by Dominic Brunt's (Paddy) real life wife and Aaron's half sister is also arriving with her, Paddy's affair will be revealed and Laurel and Ashley are getting remarried
”

I just think, however good they might be, it is very unfair, with unemployment so high, when wives and husbands of current cast members get the gig. Many female actors complain that work gets harder to find as they become middle-aged.

The actress who played Tina has given up acting unfortunately. I don't think it's a role you could recast either as the original was really really good.

He doesn' t like it, he just feels he has to, I think - and is quite often ' guilt tripped' into it..
Spoiler
Holly' s probably the straw that breaks the camel' s back

Only because she's not a Dingle...

Though I do suspect it may have something to do with the stress of Aaron, him being a victim of abuse, to Holly inflicting that abuse upon herself for no reason. Or something like that. Obviously forgetting that Aaron has physically assaulted plenty of characters on his own.

Plus the fact that she is not a Dingle.

And that it' s just one thing too many to cope wirh ?
Spoiler
Moira will be expecting him to batter some drug dealer then nagging him for doing exactly that as well. Not that I blame either of them, it must be terrible to have drug addiction in the family and I suspect Cain will be less tolerant after his experience with Shadrach who was alcoholict

Thanks Janet. Yeah the Dingle family is a headache inducer. I was hoping for less Dingles. Not more.
