So, an EE superfan wants the best episodes on a DVD boxset.

Which episodes should make the cut?

I like the episode where it was just Dot. She was making a recording for Jim. Very emotional.

Do you know what I'd like to see? Cos I'm going to tell you anyway.

A dvd of the great soap storylines that had an unintentionally comic edge. Den's death by doggy doorstop, the Slaters creeping around Pauline's house like the Mystery Machine gang to dispose of Trevor's body, the Godzilla tram crash in Corrie, Carl King's death by bouncing brick, etc.

I would LOVE a DVD!! I really cant understand why the BBC have never released some sort of collection - no matter how small!! Emmerdale's 'Best of...' collection wasn't very big, but was still great to have!! Come on BBC!!

Billie Jackson's death and Stacey's sectioning in 2009 would have to be in there too. Some superb writing and acting in those episodes.

DVD? How 2010. The BBC should be putting every episode (gradually) on iPlayer for fans. They're just sat there in the vault gathering dust, a division think it's safe to say the BBC will never sell them (who is going to pay £1 an episode?).

An old episode of EE - starting with episode 1 - should be added daily to the iPlayer.

Added daily? It would take about 4 years just to reach the episodes from 1995.

So? I can't see many people justifying an hour a day just on old episodes of Eastenders. Even then, an hour a day would still take forever.

The BBC isn't going anywhere, so 1 a day is fine.

But it also should be considered that some people don't want to watch it from the very start. Some people would want to start watching from a year such as 1990. Plus, besides the first 68 episodes are on the BBC EastEnders YouTube channel so starting from episode 1 added to iPlayer would just be taking 68 days to show episodes people can watch already on YouTube.
