Browsing is very fast, literally every website I'm clicking on in my favourites list is fully loading easily within a second. Very strange! I have a fast gaming PC thats 2.5 years old and its feeling faster than ever.
Is it BT's way of persuading me not to swap to Hyperoptic

Birmingham, Smallbrook exchange (city centre), BT Infinity 76Mb, almost always get 75Mb speed.
I'm feeling very concerned for BT that they are being amazing. According to this forum it seems to me that I should statistically not be such a happy customer. I feel vexed.

As of The end of 2015 BT has almost 8 million broadband customers. How many do you see posting on here? All ISP's get complaints and some are better at dealing with them than others. The majority of customers for every ISP don't have problems or complaints.

There may be some truth in this, but many customers can't be bothered or don't know that they should complain.

I have a relative on TalkTalk who has a working internet connection, but not working wifi, because the TalkTalk supplied router is the biggest pile of excrement ever made (he has two connections, home and business, with the same model of router and the same problem). He can't be bothered to either buy a better router or to complain and get them to send him a new model.

Its always the same and a way of life - happy customers dont post comments/reviews. You are more likely to post if you are not happy.

I'm sure there are a few like that and also some who just don't know any different and just put up with what they have. From reading posts on other forums too it seems a lot of ISP supplied free routers leave a lot to be desired but that is what you get for free. I have found from the days of dial up through ADSL and now VDSL that speed and stability of connection can be improved by buying a quality modem/router but only those who care about or have a little interest in such things are prepared to spend more money.

Think how many things you use in a day - tonight I have used a LG TV, HTC Phone, Hudl Tablet, Argos chair, etc - The average person is not going to go to a forum for each of these products and make a post saying "my tv is working great at the moment". Same with broadband. Majority just "take it for granted" - if they get an occasional slowdown its generally resolved in no time, and if it isnt - they phone up the tech help. Not post it on a forum. Its a very small % of BT customers who are even signed up to a site like this.

As always its the vocal minority who shout loudest...
