right ive read all the details and paid for my new box but a second read of the news article makes it sound like big brother is the only thing going to be shown on e4 and that E4 will only be on whilst big brother is on is this true or am i not reading it right

no, when they say you can watch round the clock live streaming, they probably mean by red button.

When Big Brother finishes E4 will remain, E4+1 may go off the air sometime in the autumn (although this is unlikely).
Just sit back and wait for E4 to launch. The schedule this year is supposed to be more Big Brother (much like CBB2) so it should be BB shows pretty much 24 hours a day stopping only for First Look shows and the occasional repeat.

So... another question. Will there be red button access to BB? And! Will E4 be time-shared meaning we only get streaming from 4pm til Midnight?

So many questions!

AFAIK they E4 and E4+1 will be available 24/7 but as mentioned above the E4 coverage will only cut away for E4ourm, BBLB and first look shows and possibly the odd repeat. They won't have another stream behind the red button but they might have the voting numbers/news service.

Compiling many of the rumours on the DTT section. It appears that E4+1 will only be provided until More4 launches in the autumn.

Now that E4+1 has been confirmed to launch there is no room for a dedicated red button stream. I would have preferred this to E4+1 as there will be gaps during the day with no coverage.

It looks like E4 will be 24 hours though, which is good news. Part time coverage during CBB was very annoying for me.

Whether E4+1 will be 24 hours is not clear yet.

lets just be grateful that we will have Live Streaming on Freeview!, since 2003 users have been wishing for this to happen and now it has!

The launch date is set for 27th May for E4 to launch on Freeview.

I have to say, for those who don't want to subscribe to pay-tv, this is the best way to watch live streaming. A freeview box just costs from £35 and considering you get to watch all the fights, nominations and frendships unfold before you and a whole host of other great channels I wouldn't miss this oportunity.

if you think about it, its much more worth it than paying the internet feeds which is £4.99/month.

you can buy a freeview box for under £30 and you dont just get E4, you get all those other great channels. i have Sky but am getting a freeview box for my room so i can watch BB Live!
