Why was David Guest not at the final?
Don't know about any rumours but I would have thought it was contractual that he only had to appear if he got so far (e.g. to the final I would guess in his case) as he'd argue he'd have to fly over from the States. Same as Cheban.

He lives in the UK. York I think. Plus it was in papers he wanted to return to the BB house after he got well.

He lives in York? - well strike me down! Perhaps he was still ill then, or didn't fancy a night down there just to sit in the rain. He certainly wasn't as chat show desperate as the others even when he seemed much better. As the 'star turn' I would have thought he had a clause that he didn't have to return as a 'didn't make the final'ist, but perhaps he just had to polish his awards or something

York is a great place. I can see David living in York.
I have actually just been sat here thinking that - maybe we might retire ton York or somewhere near. There's too many loose ends and family stuff here at the mo but - sometime in the future York might be good. (Away from the flood zones though).
I don't know why he wasn't there, but he sure didn't miss anything. No one spoke to any of the former HMs, they may as well have been cardboard cutouts...

I'm not saying it's a bad place - just not somewhere I'd expect to see David Gest on a regular basis

My brother and his wife live there and they love it ... it's a gorgeous place. I'm now going to have to get them to keep their eyes peeled for him.
How random that he should live there.
