They've done a lot of good stuff but my fave has to be about a girl (especially unplugged)

I like their version of Man who sold the world, but for original it'd probably be Lithium.

Let's be honest, they only had one song. All the others were them desperately trying to rewrite Smells Like Teen Spirit and failing miserably.

Congratulations! I think you deserve some sort of prize for quite the most stupid post I've read on DS today. What complete and utter tripe!

Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Hardly an original choice, but that song was a musical awakening for me - and therefore remains special to me for that reason.

.......

Smells like teen spirit was just a fun attempt to sound like the Pixies, and I don't think Kurt liked how much attention it got. They used to play it badly on purpose at live shows and I think they refused to play it eventually. So I hardly think they were trying to recreate it.

Wasn't written by them obviously but my favourite Nirvana performance was Where Did You Sleep Last Night. I get chills listening to that because MTV Unplugged was recorded in late 93, and less than six months later Kurt was gone. Haunting.
