Have you got an instrument you can play. If so please help with this song
This is a bit of a strange request but I need to know the name of this song. If you've got a piano, keyboard or guitar can you play these notes (apparently these are the notes) and see if you recognise it. The notes I've underlined, play for double the time of the other notes.
This is how it starts. A C A F - F A F C - C D E F G A C G This is how it ends F C A F A D C A F C C D E C A F D G F |

I've tried this before, but it's impossible to describe the tempo and the spaces between the notes.

Reading the notes I didn't recognise it.
There you go, you can actually play it yourself, to see if you can. http://www.bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/reso...2/music/piano/ Play the note A, then go up two notes to C then back down to A then down two notes to F. Then leave about a second gap. Then play the same F as you've just played, then up two notes to A, then back down to F, then down three notes to C. Then play the same C and work your way UP for the next seven notes, then go down three notes to G. That may help. The first 11 notes should be played at roughly the same speed as the repetitive note at the start of Kids in America by Kim Wilde. Listen to the start of it just to get an idea. Maybe a tiny bit slower but not much. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_GH6M7cUq4 |

I just played it on my keyboard and I definitely recognise it. At first I thought it was a hymn but thinking about it, it's maybe a piece of classical music instead.
Am I right in thinking it's a waltz rhythm. So like the beat would be 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 etc... Also I'm playing the melody over the following chords: Bass chord = F (melody = A C A F - F A F) Bass chord = C (melody = C) Bass chord = F (melody = C D E) Bass chord = D minor (melody = F G A) Bass chord = G minor (melody = C G) Bass chord = C (no melody for 1, 2, 3, bars) This probably makes no sense to anyone but I'm pretty sure this is how the song goes. It is really familiar but haven't a clue what the song is called. Is it something by Beethoven or Mozart? |

It's called I Was Kaiser Bills Batman by Whistling Jack Smith Now it makes complete sense. There was me playing the melody in the style of a waltz rhythm, no wonder I wasn't getting it.
