But to answer your question, no I don't think Gleb is full of himself actually but I do like how much he rattles certain posters on here. He doesn't take himself half as seriously as people on here think.

Nah, Aljaz is the new Artem IMO. His routines are kind of showy, though, I agree with you on that. Also, Anita was my favourite and I was voting for her, not Gleb.

I loved Artem as imho he is one of the best (if not the best) male pro dancers ever in strictly. Loved his choreography (specifically with Kara and Holly). He is one of the few who can dance a paso like a proper man. Physically I found him very attractive but a bit too LA.

Gleb, I don't rate as high as a dancer or as pro (teacher, choreographer, technical...) but I find him the most handsome male pro on strictly. If I had to choose one to go an date (happy thought indeed! One can dream!) prefer Alijaz as I find his character much more appealing though. I do think Gleb actually did incredibly well with Anita, who technically wasn't very good but he knew her (and his) strengths and maximised them.

All in all, I think they are very different.

Actually I liked both Artem and Gleb but probably for different reasons. Both are attractive to me although (oh sh*t-realises I must be an 'older lady' ) I'd say that like marinamau I find Gleb much appealing as Artem had a sort of 'US' look to him (can't quite explain it) and also I prefer Glebs personality.

I always got the impression that Artem takes himslef just a little bit more seriously than Gleb does. And that's even though I know Gleb does think (know) he's attractive, he just seems more playful with it somehow. Artem is the better dancer but I enjoyed watching both.

What an unpleasant OP. You invalidate Anita's wins and open Gleb up for being picked to pieces by comparing him to Artem.

I don't think Gleb is like Artem. Artem was a good dancer and superb choreographer but I don't think he liked ballroom disciplines much. I think Gleb has lots to learn but I think he's willing to do so. I think Gleb is less arrogant than Artem and has a better personality and is more relatable. He's humorous and I don't think he takes himself as seriously as people like to believe. Time will tell.

Maybe he’s the new Kevin Clifton—the one some love to hate. As a dancer he’s certainly not comparable to Artem.

Anita’s doing well because she’s popular and was throughout the series (see her social media, DS, the guests on ITT, her social media, etc.) Claims otherwise are absurd. Gleb’s popularity isn’t hurting her, but all the other male pros have avid fans too.

Playing up Gleb’s heartthrob status on the tour is part of the shtick—like Giovanni doing funny accents or Kevin throwing fits. They’re also taking the piss out of him—the rampant crab is a running gag and Gleb’s in on the joke.

What’s wrong with the dances being showy? Have you ever watched competitive Latin dancing? The paso is a kitsch masterpiece--the music, costuming, staging--and the male focus is paso appropriate. By all accounts the fully clothed, sentimental AS is going down a storm too. One should bear in mind Gleb has had to work around what Anita could manage. Maybe if he’s around for the next series he’ll get a celebrity who’s a trained dancer and will be able to choreograph intricate, technically exciting dances

I love Gleb for the pretty and the camp he brings. I’d love for him to be paired with a fun duffer, I’m sure it would be a laugh.

I think Artem showed his true colours when he got paired with Fern Britton. You could just see how annoyed he was to have got the older woman. Never mind that Fern had previous dance training and could have been a contender in the style of say Pamela Stephenson, he just couldn't be arsed with her.

Maybe as Glebs routines are different like Artems used to be but I think the same could be said for Giovani

Yep, I'd stopped watching by then but from what I've seen it wasn't his finest hour. Even James who was partnered with Pamela was charming and kind in comparison.

Actually even when Artem was with Kara, he could be kind of intense and overly critical at times. I mean really critical and stern, and not in the false 'Strict Russian Taskmaster' story-line kind that they tried to land Gleb with last year.

Sorry I don't agree Fern fawned over Artem as soon as she got him as a partner it was embarrassing most of the time she didn't like criticism she knew it all I am afraid and rated herself. I think that would have put any of the male Pros off.

Gleb is great as was Artem (so miss him) and I am glad for a little eye candy as the other male Pros haven't got that much to offer for me and Kevin well nothing can make me warm to him, he is a show off.

My ideal male line up would include both Gleb and Artem::

Gleb as new Artem? He can't be - his technique is nowhere nearly good enough - he has dropped not one (Natalie) but three pro dancers in rehearsals (also Christina - a small person - and Jeanette - a wispy featherlite person).

Quite. Also we do not know how common falls are when doing lifts. I'm sure Gleb is not the only male pro to have dropped their female partner. And he didn't drop Janette according to what has been reported elsewhere.
