First Sapphire gets into a fight with Lola then Faith joins Kane's gang in a war against Liam and now Carmen's doing late nighters.

Mike just can't win!
EE's Janine (Charlie Brooks) even popped by The Dumping Ground last year - probably to complain to Mike about the kids roaming about unsupervised!

Jay taking to pursuing what looks like the pick of the bunch from the Year 10 disco now that Lola's been taken out of the picture.

Chelsea was also at the Dumping Ground about a week ago. Maybe she should've recommended her half brother Jordan to stay there to keep out of trouble LOL.

Not holding my breath... the annual Eastenders summer shutdown started at the beginning of March last year.
Last year was problematic due to the lives, because live episodes and surprises during it always cause problems. It must be a nightmare trying to keep stuff secret, when you are filming 6/7 weeks of episodes before you film the lives but go out afterwards, it's very tricky and there are always going to be things that just can't be helped but viewers won't like.

Mind you, he's barely aged since he was 16 so his options will be limited

Loving DTC's surprise returns even if it is... CORA I genuinely thought that Thelma was Cora for a sec

Carmen, you're not allowed that late out of The Dumping Ground!

The announcer during the credits was obviously making popcorn in the background.

Preview for next episode: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/arti...-and-catch-ups (Looks like it's been forgotten that Sonia tried to kiss Kush, whilst still married to Martin who was offscreen)

New promo pics of the younger cast: http://www.eastendersspy.co.uk/2016/...er-generation/
The young cast picture highlights how little young cast there are actually in the show at the minute

I gave it a 'five' and that was being generous.

The best scenes were between Buster and Mick - TPTB should get their fingers out and give Karl something decent to get his teeth into.

As for poor Jay's 'big' storyline - could they not have thought of something better than putting him with an underage girl?

A dull episode.
I've never understood why Jay stays with the Mitchells.

Chrissie and Little Mo also ended up scamming the kids at one point. Back when Tracy was still working there. It's complete madness I tell you! Complete and utter madness!

They should've kept his dad Jase alive. I liked when him and Dawn were together. They could've had a nice little family on the Square.

Yes this episode must have been one of the early ones in the new year filming or just before Xmas.

My niece had a picture with lorna Fitzgerald in a restaurant about two weeks before Xmas and she said she was off with a sore throat.

Still seems to have it

Like every other character once he got within a mile of the Philth he was destroyed (look at Sharon, Aleks and Charlie for recent examples).

Mitchell 'stole' him off Billy when he was feeling lonely - it made no sense why would a moral lad like Jay get involved with the Nosferpotatu and his hideous family.

HA, I'm not surprised that Chrissie tried to scam them one bit.

But Little Mo....I'm shocked, she was by far the nicest (or most timid) Slater sister around.

Better the devil you know I guess, he been living with them since he was 12/13, despite how vile Phil is to him at times, there the only real 'family' he has, even consider Ben his brother.

I really enjoyed that episode.

I love having Denise at the forefront, and I have high hopes for Jordan. The actor was very good in Doctor Who. I am wondering whether Denise will become more involved with Lucas again or whether his appearance was a plot device to bring Jordan onto the Square?

Shirley and Buster, and Mick and Linda are great pairings. I have really warmed to Linda and Mick recently. I am hoping that Buster's decision to leave will allow Shirley to realise that she does love him and want him to stay. It would be good to see both Shirley and Buster within the Carter fold and as a solid committed couple.

It's great to see these little scenes between Mick and Buster and Shirley and Linda. The dynamic between Mick and Shirley as mother and son has really come into it's own. The Carters have been great recently. It's great seeing Shirley back in the Vic with her family too.

Not really keen on the mother/son relationship between Carmel and Kush but Carmel is a great character, Bonnie L has surprised me. One of my favourite of DTC's creations, she and Buster are both really great characters. I hope Bonnie and Karl decide to stay for a long time to come.

Thelma?!

The soap cliche of Abi returning with an injury to prevent Ben telling her the truth...I like Ben and Paul though so I do hope they end up together.

Any inklings on what Jay's big storyline is going to be? I assume it involves Linzi?

Strong start to the week.

BIB TPTB once again having an utter thick, stupid moment. When they get it wrong they get it very wrong

Before Tee was on TBR/TDR, she was in EE as Jack Branning's daughter, Penny. Offscreen, a few men were after Jack because of some money he owed them and they deliberately hit Penny with a car, leaving her disabled waist down.

4 people have rated the episode 1. Come on.

I know it was cringe worthy but I did enjoy the scenes in the Vic with the East End Land ladies. Rough old lot aren't they.

Denise was the best thing about tonight's episode. Like the relationship she has with Carmel. It will be a shame if this is the last we see of Buster. I thought how Mick called Shirley Mum was a bit odd and seemed forced. Also it's highly hilarious that Specy 4 eyes Joe 90 is getting more action than Jay. Come on get in the real world. 7/10

BIB Quite ironic then that Jamie actually wears glasses and Harry doesn't And spectacle wearers can be quite cool and hip these days so where does the Specky four eyes come in, that's like so 80's

Oi Flaps I'll have you know glasses wearers are some of the most attractive, wittiest, most charming, handsome, humble, intelligent soap forum comedians going.

No it is so 70's to be precise!

I am also a specky 4 eyes, but Jay (Jamie Borthwick) in specs is a bit different to Joe 90 don't you think.
