You have a point, I have been saying myself that the over 40's get 85-90% of screen time/ stories

AFAIK they haven't shown him taking it (there's been no moment where he's been confronted and suddenly change his mind) so I would assume that no, he is still not taking them.

Which I personally find a bit annoying, as his mood seems to have improved..

BIB This can easily happen with depression, on medication or not. You have good days/weeks even months and then bam you are back where you started and it's a condition which is different for everybody who suffers it, so the programme has not made a mistake or forgot about it, he's just on stable ground...for the moment

I thought Linda had persuaded him to take them, it's just that alcohol doesn't help.

I agree.
The younger cast need to be used/brought in/back to balance it back. Its gone from one polar to the other. Personally as much as I love Ian, Denise, Carmel etc...I prefer the teens-mid 20s as I relate to them more. The early 30s department is also badly lacking in terms of characters.

He might be taking his medication but by the look of him he might need to get something a lot stronger

They seem to forget that nearly every memorable s/l since the show began has involved the under 40s, and frequently the teens.

I didn't think he was taking them, even with all the talks?

It would be nice if his depression was mentioned in some way though - so people remember the storyline. At the moment it seems as though the writers have forgotten about it.

Because depression does, it's not all bad every day although it varies depending on the person. It's an illness that once you've had it once you are vulnerable to it and are likely to be due a relapse at any point therefore you live with it for the rest of your days, it's how you handle it and treat it that matters

I agree that it is realistic, but it's a soap and therefore I think it needs to be mentioned in some way so the viewers remember.

Depression is an ongoing issue. Personally I find how it's been dealt with very realistic..it comes and goes and people have their good days and bad

I don't know why there's a need for Lee to be seen taking his medication. We don't need to see every single detail.

Indeed.

I am sure this storyline will be revisited soon - at least I hope it will be.

The more that people are educated about the potentially devastating effects of clinical depression the better.

It is fairly well paced for a depression story from what we've seen so far. I think they probably could be a bit more explicit with how Lee is currently doing but I still get the sense from the way he's acting that he's continuing to grapple with the effects.

Quick question and a sidetrack so apologies - saw a bit of last night's when Lee said he took Whitney to the station (off to see Bianca) did the kiss with Mick get resolved?

Lee doesn't know about it, but then knowing things isn't exactly one of his special skills. Linda just got a bit cross and that was the end of it.

That's not the point I was making - what I mean is within the bigger picture, it could potentially appear to the audience as "well, he's not taking his medication and he seems to be doing OK, so why should I?"
