I didn't see that scene that way, I really thought Edna was helping Aaron to move on from his feelings from Adam. I do realize that RobRon was several months after that scene but I think it was in preparation for Aaron falling for Robert, Kate Oates didn't want any past feelings coming in between the great RobRon. As for Aaron's relationship with Ed, didn't Chas say that Aaron broke up with Ed almost a year before his return? I remember when Chas returned from visiting Aaron in France she mentioned he broke up with Ed. Plus I never bought the Aaron/Ed pairing it was forced and rushed, there was no chemistry between them.

No it was about 8 months before, they broke up around January and Aaron had this conversation in August and he told Adam he took the split very hard. I didn't think it was that great either but it is a canon relationship, a long term one and Aaron thinks enough about Ed to have called him when he needed somewhere to stay a couple of weeks ago.

There was never anything romantic between Aaron and Adam save for a crush and a rejected kiss years before, so the idea that any lines had to be drawn under anything before Aaron could have an affair months in the future is a puzzler especially has he had not one but two longterm relationships since that non kiss when he was 18.

IDK maybe its just me but even during the Jackson relationship I felt there was this underlying tone that Aaron still wanted Adam and I really don't think it went away till he got with Robert.

I see them as best mates - like Chas and Katie were. Always looking out for each other but certainly (at least from Adam's side) nothing more. Aaron did have a crush back in the day, but clearly Adam loves Victoria (and he should, given all the support she's given him lately).

ITA and Victoria has been amazing, I hope he knows how lucky he is to have her. I also hope Emmerdale keep them together, they just work somehow.

back to Adam, I think Victoria and Adam could be a good solid long term couple, I just fear that Emmerdale wont be able to resist messing things up for them, they wont be happy until no marriage is left standing.

sadly you are probably right and as much as I love Aaron I cannot co-sign on RobRon, they were a hot pairing at first, but the destructive things Robert did to Aaron and his loved ones showed Robert doesn't care for Aaron, which was actually in character for Robert since he always put himself #1. But since the pairing became so popular Robert has received a character transplant to satisfy the RobRon stans.

I guess if people had gone crazy for Aaron and Adam years ago maybe they would have paired them together.
