Worst ever single of all time
Come on - everyone has one. Which is your all time least favourite most loathed tune to date? It might grate, be overplayed, or just do your head in whenever you hear it.
Understandably most people have a collection of least favourite songs but which one stands out as being your worst ever? |

Maybe not the worst ever by any stretch of the imagination but cannot stand the following:-
The Most Beautiful Girl in the World - Prince Wonderwall - Oasis Champagne Supernova - Oasis Come Together - The Beatles Anything by ABBA Anything by The Spice Girls Most of the music that gets mentioned on DS..I use the term music loosely. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen |

'Whale whale whale' by Duffy would take some beating. So embarrassinly bad it halted her career single-handedly.

Timelords - Doctorin' The Tardis.
UK No1 for a week in June 1988. Too horrific for words. Still traumatised all this time later by it. ![]() Mind you I'm sure there have been plenty to beat it in the past 5 years or so, but I've not heard them! |

Peter Andre - I Feel You
Possibly the blandest most non eventful UK #1 since charts began in 1952. |

Beyonce's new 'song' must be up (down?) there IMO, as well as that dross Kanye West performed at the Brits last year - All Day I think it was called... I'm all for making a statement but why does it have to be wrapped up in such a steaming pile of shite?
![]() I'd struggle to pick an actual worst song ever though. If we were talking most overrated, I'd probably go for 'Hey Jude' by The Beatles! |

How can Champagne Supernova be worst single when it was never released as a single?

The problem with threads like this is that people will just put songs by artists they don't like (i.e anything by *insert name*)
Now I love Sir Cliff however the lords prayer is up there for me,the only good thing about it is that it was for Charity |

Having myself presented a question for others, I am struggling to even answer it decisively.
I have a list of possible candidates, possibly in order of worst at the top The Kinks - you really got me (classic but i can't stand it) Mark Ronson Amy Winehouse - Valerie Anything by Jess Glynne but worst has to be take me home, her vocals are just brutal Mark Ronson Bruno Mars - Uptown funk Alex Clare - too close Another vote for Beatles - Come together Madness - our house Byrds - tambourine man (although turn turn turn is one of my favourite songs ever) |

Also usually people "hate" songs purely because said songs have ended up suffering from overkill because radio stations keep playing the songs over and over (and over and over etc...).
It's not like they've always hated the song. It's the sheer amount of airplay that causes people to hate songs. Pharrell Williams - Happy was good when it first started doing well, but halfway into 2014 I was completely bored of hearing the song all the time...but I don't "hate" the song. |

I loved Amy but OMG I hate that song. Can't believe it was so popular as it's really terrible. Both her and Mark have done so much better than that
I think it is impossible to think of it without having a horrible mental image of some drunken lass murdering it at karaoke ![]() Anyway, my vote goes to Foundations by Kate Nash. "Yearrrh, it's called intelligent input dahling, why don't you just have another beer then?" How about you have another slap in the gob then!?

Kenny Everett used to feature "bad singles", and put an album out of terrible songs.
http://www.chronoglide.com/wwwshome.html clickable audio links http://www.chronoglide.com/WWWS_Show5.html https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...BD78096FB1713E This is not someone's hatred for a song that is loved by others - these are genuinely bad. |

Jessie J - Bang Bang: A bunch of bimbos singing about how sexy they is...Jessie J and Ariana Grande on 1 song - music at an all time low point.
Rihanna - FourFiveSeconds: Took 50 people to write this steaming pile of turd. That crotch grabbing idiot Kanye West - spokesman of the chav generation doesn't help it either. Mark Ronson - Valerie: Karaoke music for pissed up chavs. Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl: Ooh controversial. Bland with thin production and no hook. Black Eyed Peas - Where Is The Love: Low brow political RnB jam for youth offending chavs on probation trying to turn their lives around. Arctic Monkeys - I Bet You Look Good: Chav pub rock at it's finest. No thanks. Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man: Wailing over trumpets...utter torture to listen to. Jason Derulo - Trumpets: Just wrong on every level. Cher Lloyd - Swagger Jagger: pure shyte. Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines: Every non music fan's favourite song of 2013. Nickelback - How you Remind Me: Every chav's favourite grunge song. Lilly Allen - Smile: Talentless middle class attention seeking prat pretending to be a chav does not make for musical excellence. Mark Ronson - Uptown Funk: If I want to listen to something funky I'll listen to Rage Against The Machine not this robotic unorganic cheese fest. Maroon 5 - This Love: Musically dyslexic nonsense with Adam Levine's vomit inducing vocals. Nicki Minaj - Anaconda: Terrible song. Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel Like Dancing: Sums up my thoughts on this camp gibberish. Jessie J - Price Tag: A bling bling RnB song about how wrong bling bling is sung by a bling bling singer who's entire catalogue is about bling bling apart from this song which is anti bling bling. |
