Emmerdale Vanessa

Lol it was abit drastic last night when she booked herself into the b&b for 2 nights just because she had norovirus. Wonder how many mums really do that everytime they get sick!

What do you all make of her and Kirins relationship nowadays? I always thought they had chemistry and was slightly gutted when they split, but now they are back together they seem more like mother and son. I know she's a mother now and her priorities have changed but im just not feeling the love anymore between them. It's like they have been apart so long they have both grown apart and have only got back together again because of baby Johnny. Also get the feeling Kirins only doing all this because he feels he needs to as he's his dad, not because he wants to.

Honestly I'm sick of Vanessa and Kirin, first she didn't like the baby, now he doesn't like the baby, its getting old. I say dump the baby on Rhona or Adam and the two of them can move far away from the village never to be heard from again.

I find it ridiculous that with something so contagious she has checked into the b&b,she wouldn't be allowed in a public place it spreads like wildfire even the school was closed so why she would be allowed in there is stupid.

OP - Have you ever had norovirus? I had it for a week a couple of years ago and lost a stone in weight.. It's awful, not just being a bit sick, it feels like your insides are coming out of you.

I agree. It started with me on a Friday and on the Saturday I ended up being carted off in an ambulance to A&E. The paramedics had to radio ahead so that I could be put in isolation. I had to see my GP for a check up after a few days. I wasn't allowed to go in the main waiting area of the surgery - I had to enter the building through the staff entrance and was then put in a room on my own. I live alone so at least I had no family to contaminate.

I just wish that Emmerdale (and for that matter - all TV programs) would get the noises right when they have people vomiting! Why do they always have characters merely making coughing noises? For goodness sake - is there no-one in TV land know what puking noises sound like?

Slight edit - Leyla did a pretty decent job of it there!

Of course I have. People respond to bugs differently. My daughters had it before too. Only worry for babies is dehydration as you lose fluids. I'm not silly I have a child who has had s+d many times, it's not nice no but I'm saying she didn't have to move out of her home for a couple days. It's a soap so hey ho

That's fair enough. I didn't know if you'd had it - I only know one person besides me who has. I have a condition which affects my immune system which is probably why sometimes things affect me more than other people.
