Loved Shirley and Buster tonight :) - EastEnders
Aw that was so beautiful. Shirley and Buster aren't romantic people and I love the way they talk to each other. Their banter is so funny but please Shirley, you know you want to marry Buster

I'd love them to settle down together. It would make the Carters a really solid unit. Loved Shirley's smile.

I agree. I really love the rapport between Shirley and Buster, I think they work really well together as a couple. I would love to hear wedding bells for them this year and that we find out more about them as a couple now that Dean isn't hanging around all the time! I hope Karl is staying!

I love them too, it is great to see an older couple. Loved Shirley's grin.

Shirley and Buster could be quite comedic if they were allowed to be. I can just imagine the insulting banter between them if they both worked on the fish stall together

I love Buster and his interaction with Lee and Mick was absolutely brilliant however I thought Shirley very easily forgave him and treated him leaving like almost one big joke. I mean he was packing his bags to leave his girlfriend while she was out at night, it's a pretty serious act that shouldnt have been forgiven just so easily.

I don't buy it. Anyone else notice Shirley said the same thing to Buster that Phil said to her on their aborted wedding day? She wasn't even fussed he was about to leg it.

I hope they do keep them together, they have proved to be a well liked couple, and I think they have a good rapport. Plus I would much rather Shirley was with Buster than running after Phil and being his doormat.

![]() As for Phil, she's known for weeks that he's available again, but apart from that moment where she felt sorry for him she hasn't shown any interest, and let's hope it stays that way. |

I watched the latest episode about an hour ago and the Mick/Shirley/Buster/Lee scenes were very comical. Shirley's smile at the end and her words, "if I was going to marry anyone, it would be you but I'm not going to marry you" was the highlight of the episode. it's appears that Shirley and Buster are very popular on Facebook and Twitter so it's good to know that we are not the only ones who appreciate them together.

She didn't have to run back to stop Buster going if she didn't want to be with him, she could have just let him go...she's not known for being a softie.

Like you say, Shirley's not known for being a softie, and I quite liked her awkwardly admitting to Buster that she does love him and want him to stay in her own 'Shirley' way. I think she cares about what happens to Phil on a level but I don't think that level is her wanting to get back together with him right now. It would be a shame for them to stop having scenes though as I do like their scenes together. Quote:

This is the second proposal from Buster so I wonder if it will be third time lucky?! I had a look on Twitter/Facebook too and they do appear to be well liked overall which is great! They have great potential if tptb keep developing them, and allowing Buster more airtime.

I thought they were brilliant. The Carters are really firing on all cylinders at the moment, Dean being found out has been the best thing for them. The scenes between Buster/Shirley/Lee/Mick were great to watch. The banter was spot on, but there was also the nice moments where Buster bonded with Mick and Lee, and where both Shirley and Buster admitted they loved each other. I think that is what has been missing. He wasn't really part of the family, and he felt it. His standing by Dean put him at odds with the rest of the family, and he had no historic relationship to fall back on. And, of course, now that Shirley had her family back he didn't feel she needed him. It's going to be good seeing him involved with the family, starting with having Lee working with him on the stall.

Buster brings out the best in Shirley & I like seeing this 'other' side of her.
of course it won't last as this is Eastenders, but for now I'm enjoying the coupling.
