Things I definitely don't want to see from the Moffat era in Chibnalls.
1. Arcs that are all hype at the start, but then actually come to nothing but a confused muddled mess and leave a disappointing finale (see: every Moffat series arc so far). I'd also add to that mysteries left for years and at first hyped to be part of a big plan, but then all hurriedly answered in mumbled one sentence explanations at the very last possible episode.
2. A companion that is anything like Clara. Never want to have to see that again.
3. Part time companions. For me to invest in a companion, I have to know that they have invested in what a great honour and once in a lifetime privilege it is to have an adventure through time and space, and not somehow be so dull that they think regular life is as important as this once in a lifetime adventure. That is why I hope to see full time traveller companions, and none of this Clara series 7/8 part time nonsense.
4. The show runner seeming to put a gimmick that can be advertised and trying to show how clever they can be (e.g every dalek ever, the doctors death, the doctors death again, the impossible girl, the hybrid) , above thinking about whether a story is well thought out and paced, with a satisfactory start, middle and end. Hopefully Chibnall will consider his stories before considering the potential hype he can give them.
