Stein had to be removed due to legal reasons
bren0909

The producers were legally forced to remove this guy because he made a direct threat to commit a crime - GBH. Once a person makes this threat in the public domain (i.e on tv) the tv company would be liable for any criminal act (not taking prior action to remove this person). They were forced to remove him.

(I work for the UK court service so I know this)

...so in other words it's irrelevant what people think about the matter.

If people remember Big Brothers' famous fight that is why the police forced the producers to exclude the girl (Sorry can't remember her name) so yes I am not surprised that he was told to leave.

So nothing to do with Emma spitting in Victors face then?
(or 101 other possible reasons)

And if it was just the verbal threat of GBH, how come Jason managed to remain until final night?

I'm sure I could list some more examples if I could be bothered

bren0909 - next time you're there chatting with the beak, get him to explain the laws of libel to you

ok fine, but was it justifiable for JC to punch a plate and thrash the ladles to come pouring down on Henry? Why was there no action taken for such a dangerous act? (bits of china could have ended up on food) Yah ok they were only ladles and nothing sharp like knives but a senseless and unprovoked act like that deserves to be given as much attention and action as that of Stein's. Was it just a melodramatic act to gain more viewers? Nothing said of JC's reaction - seems unfair.

You seem to have missed the point.

JC was lost his temper when Henry used a meat based sauce on what was supposed to be a vegetarian dish. JC could not therefore let that go from the kitchen so he threw/punched it off the hot plate to prevent it being served. (I'm not sure but there might actually be a bin in that corner where he threw it.)

As for the possible chance that a part of the broken plate may end up in someones food, well anything is possible but I think the fact that both clingfilm and cooking foil has been discovered in diners food should be more cause for concern!

Finally, I don't think the falling kitchen utensils was a deliberate act by JC onto Henry, but was a result of JC flamboyantly waving/throwing his tea-towel at Henry whilst ordering him out of the kitchen. Hardly the crime of the century, eh?

As I suggested in my previous post, I believe the true reasons why Stein was expelled from HK was not actually screened. Certainly, everything was censored during the HK Live that was on just after it occurred. He certainly wasn't axed because he walked out, as Gary would have gone too. It was Gary that was first to walk out - he caused the whole events when he suggested to JC that they close the kitchen - that's when JC refused to talk to everyone.

And as for 'losing respect', well that covers a multitude of sins, but it could be claimed that Gary had lost respect for JC when he walked off. However after both having time to calm down, he and JC obviously kissed and made up; something that Stein & JC must have been unable to do.

Henry put the wrong sauce in, Stein made a direct verbal threat to JC. Errr.... which is worse? Obviously the latter and abiding to legal clauses, he had to be removed. So the story goes.

Cling film and Foil found in food served by the Blue Kitchen occasionally. Isn't broken china worse?

It may not have been a deliberate act by JC onto Henry but he didnt 'wave' or throw his tea towel about that caused the ladles the come tumbling down. If you watch the footage carefully, he actually leaped up and slapped them down.

Yes, you are right, it is NOT the crime of the century but just noticed different rules for different folks that's all.

That's always been a mystery .....

For those who didn't see or don't know :

Jason responded to Marco's "dancing," by telling him he'd "rip his f***ing head off."

Is Stein short for Frankenstein?

It doesn't sound very plausible. Threats of criminal acts commonly occur, as has been pointed out, on these type of shows. They probably just made a judgment that they though Stein was not coping and could do something.

Stein last night said that he didn't continue on the show because, despite him still having utmost respect for JC as a chef, he could no longer bring himself to work for him. Unlike Gary who had also walked out that night, Stein was unable to kiss and make up with JC.

Hence the only option left for him was for to leave.
