Before I set the rules for this final round, I will break down all the shows I included from the beginning as well as where they rank. I apologise that I missed some shows that should have been included. Let me know if any of you think I should do another similar round structure, I'm quite new at this so apologies for any mistakes made.

Anyway there was 36 shows in total and the breakdown is as follows:

34 [tied] defiance
34 [tied] extant
34 [tied] haven
28 [tied] sense8
28 [tied] continuum
28 [tied] salem
28 [tied] vikings
28 [tied] killjoys
28 [tied] orphan black
27 heroes reborn
26 once upon a time
24 [tied] scream queens
24 [tied] z nation
22 [tied] under the dome
22 [tied] the flash
21 arrow
20 wayward pines
19 penny dreadful
15 [tied] grimm
15 [tied] the man in the high castle
15 [tied] dark matter
15 [tied] doctor who
14 izombie
12 [tied] american horror story
12 [tied] hannibal
11 daredevil
10 you me and the apocalypse
7 [tied] supergirl
7 [tied] gotham
7 [tied] agents of shield

the top 5 shows as voted for by all of you are:

jessica jones

Well the only two that I watched were Doctor Who and Agents of Shield, as of two weeks ago I gave up on Agents of Shield, and I thought series 9 of Doctor Who was poor and nothing to write home about, more lets just forget it.

So I vote for none, not very helpful for this thread I know, but just to say 2015 TV at least the bits I saw weren't that good and it was a disappointing year.

I would like to see Daredeveil and it looks and sounds great.

The three 2015 shows which I watched (all episodes) and really enjoyed haven't made the final (Man in the High Castle; You, Me & the Apocolypse; GOT). There were a few other shows which I caught occasionally because others in our household watch them, but I didn't follow every episode (Doctor Who; Agents of Shield; Agent Carter; Gotham; Arrow). The best of those in my opinion, and the one I saw the most episodes of, was Agent Carter … so that's my vote.

This round is closed. The way the top 5 results will work is that total votes for this round only determines the final position, otherwise certain shows would have an unfair advantage.

Only Total votes from all previous rounds will come into play if there is a tie on amount of votes this round regardless of their position. I will also give a small comment on my own personal opinion of the show. Feel free to add your own comments as well on the positions.

Anyway the show that is in 5th position is:

Agent Carter

I'll admit I was not initially interested in this show. Then I was eventually persuaded to give it a chance, and I didn't look back. Personally prefer season 1 at the moment. As to where its positioned against the other shows, I thought it would be slightly higher but it is well deserved.

In fourth position overall is:

Jessica Jones

When I first heard about this I was skeptical. If I didn't watch a fair amount of comic book superhero type shows already, this would probably be the one I would give a chance. With the position, I was expecting it to be around here. That being said, I can definitely understand the appeal of the show and why it did so well in the overall best or most enjoyed shows.

Third place goes to:

The Walking Dead

This is one of those shows I've found you either love or hate. I'm neither as I don't watch this as I've no interest in the show. However, I am fascinated with how big the show is along with the fanbase, myself belonging to another group. With that being said, I honestly thought that it could have won in the best or most enjoyed shows or be up against another show in the top 5, but it did very well to get this far.

Before I announce the winner I'd like to say it was great doing these rounds and seeing the general consensus of what people were into, even if it might not be fully representative of all that is available

With that being said the show that had to settle for second place is:

Humans

What can I say about Humans? Of all the shows I included, if I were to do my own personal favorites, this would defintely be towards the top. Between the fundamental questions it asks us as an audience, to the storytelling, whats not to love. To clarify my comment from the walking dead, this was the other show I genuinely thought it would be between in the top 5. All previous rounds indicated that this was a real contender for the top position, along with the walking dead.

So I'm delighted to announce the winner by a very small margin is:

The 100

As I briefly mentioned in an earlier round I love this show. To my knowledge it is one of the very few shows that, not only puts people in impossible situations with almost nothing but awful choices, but also explores the consequences of the sadistic choices made very well. When I set out all these shows, I could not have predicted that the 100 would get as far as it did, never mind winning against other shows. That being said, I do believe it is a deserving winner of the best or most enjoyed show of 2015.

Many thanks to all those that voted, and not being afraid to voice their opinions.

I hope to something similar in the future

Thanks for all the trouble you've taken over organising the voting.

It was good fun, but did take a very long time. If you are masochistic enough to run such a competition again, would it be possible to post all of the matches in each round at the same time, but allow longer to vote? Example: all first round ties with a week or two for voting; the tiebreaker round if necessary; all the top 20 rounds with a week to vote; all top 10 rounds with a week; then the final. Would that be quicker? Or too difficult to administer and/or not how you want to do it?

Edit: Plus, I think there should be transparency over the tied results - "show your workings", as someone else commented on the 100 v. GOT result (which I'm still convinced was wrong).

Thanks for doing this, chocolategaga.

The Walking Dead would be my top pick but I also enjoyed the two which finished above it.

If I were to do something similar again, that would actually be a way more efficient way to do it, doesn't help that this is the first time ive ever done anything like this. Only thing I'd add is on the first set of rounds before tie break round would be I would list all the shows first & do the matches before asking everyone if theres a show I should include, as im aware theres some I missed this time e.g. outlander, ash v evil dead, teen wolf, into the badlands etc. among others.

As for showing my work, I would be absolutely fine with that.
