I am a big fan of the show but all the actors have an acting agent and that is how they get on the show.

I want to know is there anyway of being in the show that doesn't involve having an acting agent.

or

If you do need an acting agent to get on the show, what are the ones that Emmerdale mostly use to find their actors

Could anybody help me please!

Going to drama school is perhaps a best way to start off

I guess if you happen to be in the area where they're filming they might let you in as an NPC extra in the background.

Well it doesn't just happen straight away. If you're serious about it then you have to put the work in. You can't just suddenly decide on a whim that you want to be an actor and then expect it to go well.

So, if you want it so bad, you're going to have to work for it and maybe get some drama classes. Even the best actors in Hollywood had to start somewhere.

For ages I wanted to be an extra in Bob's caff.

I do a lovely "slurping while eavesdropping" performance.

You'd need to find out where they hire their background artistes from.

Does Emmerdale still do a meet and greet with the fan club? You could join the fan club and hope to meet some people and ask how you can get involved with appearing as an extra.

bib: I'm not sure if they do it these days. But some former work colleagues of mine who were Emmerdale fan club members, did meet cast members during the '90s.

I'm sure it can be arranged. Look out for me. I'll be the one surreptitiously eyeing up Cain's arse over the top of my cappuccino.

(Sorry little monster, Cain still > Robert )
