James Bye as Martin EE
I don't understand the casting, here. James Alexandrou's Martin was never such a whingy wet wipe. James Bye is so plain, and so boring, dull, nondescript. Ugh.

Disagree. I think he's really shone in this Stacey storyline.

He has grown on me.
I just don't think putting him with Stacey has done him any favours. I hope he dumps her ass when he finds out about Kush. |

I wasn't a huge fan of James Alexandrou's Martin, squirming under the thumb of his mother and Sonia.
I prefer James Bye. |

I think James Bye is a brilliant Martin - definitely been amazing this storyline, and I don't even think of him as nuMartin anymore. |

James Bye has really made the role his own, he has a lot of potential and I really like 'his' Martin.

I prefer James Bye in the role. I connect with the character of Martin better than I did before.

James Bye is a fabulous Martin, and he reminds me so much of Mark which is a plus.

I don't quite get what people mean when they keep calling him boring. Do they mean uninteresting? There's a big difference between finding the character uninteresting and him actually being a boring character. What would they prefer? Him to take up fire-breathing on stilts or something? The man's got enough issues!
He just seems fine to me. And certainly not a terrible actor within EE standards. |

Martin is one of the very few realistic and likeable characters in the show. James Bye is great. Not everyone aims to be like Phil Mitchell or Ian Beale in life.

His version is quite similar to that of original James' although the character has grown, as would of expected. I think James Bye is doing a great job and quite easily associate him as Martin. (It helps that he looks quite similar to James A)

I think the character of Martin has always been a thankless role to be honest. A weak character almost like Billy Mitchell. Though I personally like the current actor a lot more than his predecessor.

James B is talented and can act but James A the REAL Martin to me. I think one of the reasons that many prefer James B is that he's "sexier" than James A.

I always thought the old Martin had a very punchable face though, I must admit. |

James Bye may be an okay actor but James Alexandrou will always be the true Martin Fowler. I don't care that much for the current imposter

I prefer him because he's, by a distance, the better actor.
