There are different types of strokes and the recovery process differs from person to person. Patrick's recovery has been going on for eighteen months, we know he was getting medical care and Kim and Denise were helping to look after him.

they have portrayed Patricks stroke and recovery very well in my opinion. we have seen over the last 18 months or so him very very very gradually getting better. he isn't back to how he was but getting there slowly

It is possible for someone to recover from a stroke and Patrick had his two years ago. If anything it has been the one realistic portrayal of recovery I've ever seen in soap. I for one am glad to see him back to normal it was depressing watching him struggle to talk and walk for so long.

4 good posts above
I'm normally the first to knock EE/soaps in general for the way they represent these things but I think they've done well, and Rudolph Walker has been excellent.

It's been one of the best portrayed recoveries in ages. He still slurs the occasional words, he's not completely back to his usual self but it's taken time for him to get there. Rudolph did a brilliant job.

He still needs support and his speech isn't what it was. Wonderfully acted and a very realistic time frame.

I am a ten year stoke survivor, & I think Patricks recovery is great. And realistic. Each & every stroke is as individual as the person who has it.
