Interesting. At first, I thought it was because the crowd hadn't warmed up but it was exactly the same for their second dance.

Yes, he is very annoying. I don't get the attraction at all.

Yeah, I mean they really should stay hold up in their homes with blackout curtains. If they must go out can't they wear balaclavas?

It's really attention seeking the way they dare to go to Sainsbury's and go about the lives trying to ignore the idiot taking pictures of them. I mean jeesh it's not like he can help the fact he feels the need to stake out these two people and sell pictures of them to the daily mail.

They should really be more considerate to DS posters who are getting so tired of being brutally forced to click on links that are clearly labelled to be about them and should alter their lives to please said posters.

Obviously he'll be back, but quite honestly I wouldn't be bothered if he wasn't. I wonder how he'll fair with someone who isn't as naturally gifted as Georgia is?

Indeed. It is sadly missed. Especially for posts like yours.

Strictly professional? Jay McGuinness and dance partner Aliona Vilani put on a sizzling display on the dancefloor at tour after-party

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...our-party.html

Scraping the barrel, me thinks

To me they look as if they're practising a dance routine

The press are desperate to catch Jay and Aliona out. There was a photo of them on a "romantic night out" in Glasgow in which you could see Alijaz standing in the background. It turned out that all the cast had night out together, so that was a non story.

I'm not entirely sure what's going on between them, my gut feeling is that Jay has a huge crush on Aliona who is just naturally a very tactile person. But I may be wrong, who knows?

Exactly people moan about the Tabloids and then spend their time reporting what is in them on a daily basis. You could not make it up . If the Tabloids are so bad on here can be even more nasty but never mind it appears to make some people happy. Late breaking News G&G do not edit or own any Tabloid and are unable to have their pictures in the Press it is not their decision.

The media give Jay and aliona too much coverage. Then again popularity on FB, Instagram and twitter determines it all.

Plus the fact they keep being caught in "close" pictures that make them look like a actual couple. I have no sympathy for them, you never see any of the other dancing couples in these clinches.

Aliona's husband must be the most tolerant man in the world, I don't think many other husbands would be.

Either way it's getting on my wick now, and having seen the tour their dances don't translate at all well to an arena.

I also feel a bit sorry for her ex boyfriend who she dumped for Gio. Can't be nice to have this rammed down his throat.”

Your problem. I've managed to quite easily avoid. Apart from one article linked to on here a few weeks ago not seen anything about them. If you choose to follow their every move be prepared to be annoyed. It's the same as anyone famous or not who posts on facebook/Instagram the stuff is not really interesting to most folks. Only those who want to get involved vicariously in others lives either in a positive or negative way.

I would say they've got a huge crush on one another. Whether or not they have acted on
it is anybody's guess.

Have to say I largely agree. They were my favourite couple but now I am a bit ambivalent toward them. While I appreciate you can't help who you fall in love with, but the blitz of staged shots of them is a bit off putting, although I realise it is partly about her getting some work after this. I keep thinking of Sean's face on the night he stood up desperately clapping, and Claudia saying to Georgia how sweet it was but Georgia barely reacted, which I thought was strange at the time considering how she had been in the papers saying what a rock he was for her and how insulted she was that anyone could suggest she might be dallying with Giovanni.

I just can't help thinking that if someone loves you that much and you fall for someone else, which happens, then you should at least show them enough courtesy to keep things low key for a while otherwise it does seem a bit like rubbing their nose in it, and that ain't nice.

Annoying couple, i just skim past any 'news' on them. She needs to grow up and he needs to buy some decent trouser!

Of course not no but sticking your tongue down one another's throats and snogging in the street is attention seeking and immature.

The paid for by their PR team pap shots were getting annoying. I wanted to ignore them but the Daily Mail kept sticking photos of Gleb (and the other tour contestants) in the same articles! So of course I had to click.

That's all died down now the tour's over so hopefully instead of seeking publicity for their relationship they'll only publicise their respective careers.

Agree about Sean, he seems a nice guy better off out of it all.

It's lose/lose when anyone tries to manipulate the press. Watch Kristina and learn would be my advice to Georgia.

I wonder whether their PR (mis)advised them to do the pap walks as a way of going public with their relationship (rather than doing an interview or something).

Maybe it depends on how good your PR person is--the better they are, the less the public notices it's PR.

True. Kristina does her own (as far as I can tell) and that's a dis-as-ter.

Don't know about any PR arrangements, but think you are being a bit harsh about those ^^ G and G photos.

Most of the Daily Mail photos have been taken by freelance photographs on the off-chance of selling them.

Up in the Jay and Aliona AT people have found Web pages with a set of photos of Gleb, Georgia, Jay, Anita and so on, all taken by the same photographer at more or less the same time in Birmingham or Manchester. Once the DM - and maybe other newspapers - had bought the photos, they disappeared off the photograper's Web page.

The photos then appeared on the Daily Mail internet pages with 'fashion tips' about their clothes and some made up story.

The caption of one photo was of "Giovanni and a fan" - the fan was Gleb! So the DM writer obviously knew nothing of the context of the photo.

The Daily Mail altered the caption within 20 minutes. Somebody had obviously told the DM - after rolling about on the floor laughing for 20 minutes at a journalist who writes about Strictly, but doesn't know who Geb is.

Vodka Drinker in a post higher up wrote about the cropped photo of Jay and Aliona 'alone' in Glasgow when the actual photo shows Aljaz standing nearby.

The moral of this story

Don't believe a word you read in the tabloid press.

You’re right about the stories the tabloids create around such pictures. However, I think it’s reasonable to be cynical about paparazzi pictures in general.

First off though, I’m not the OP and am not and was not fed up with Georgia/Gio pictures in the tabloids. I just think it’s interesting how these things work. Quite often people who want a bit of exposure do walk about where they know they'll be photographed, or make arrangements with photographers. I don't know if GG did that. Some of the walks did look suspiciously LA-style pap walk, but maybe I'm too cynical.
