Ha ha it was. The photos of Gleb were a good tonic to help me get over my annoyance though.

Maybe it depends on how good your PR person is--the better they are, the less the public notices it's PR.”

I thought the most ill advised PR move was trying to blame Sean for Georgia dumping him after the final and running off to Disneyland with Giovanni! 'He pushed Georgia in to Giovanni's arms because he was paranoid she fancied Giovanni' was ridiculous (Sean was clearly right to be worried) but I guess her PR team were desperate to find a way to make her look better. It had the opposite effect in my opinion, it was a deeply unpleasant move and I admire Sean and his family for rising above it all and keeping a dignified silence.

G and G definitely need to work on making the pap walks look more natural ha ha.

Most of the Daily Mail photos have been taken by freelance photographs on the off-chance of selling them.

Up in the Jay and Aliona AT people have found Web pages with a set of photos of Gleb, Georgia, Jay, Anita and so on, all taken by the same photographer at more or less the same time in Birmingham or Manchester. Once the DM - and maybe other newspapers - had bought the photos, they disappeared off the photograper's Web page.

The photos then appeared on the Daily Mail internet pages with 'fashion tips' about their clothes and some made up story.

The caption of one photo was of "Giovanni and a fan" - the fan was Gleb! So the DM writer obviously knew nothing of the context of the photo.

The Daily Mail altered the caption within 20 minutes. Somebody had obviously told the DM - after rolling about on the floor laughing for 20 minutes at a journalist who writes about Strictly, but doesn't know who Geb is.

Vodka Drinker in a post higher up wrote about the cropped photo of Jay and Aliona 'alone' in Glasgow when the actual photo shows Aljaz standing nearby.

The moral of this story

Don't believe a word you read in the tabloid press.”

I think it was obvious Georgia's PR team were paying the DM to run articles on her for exposure. A common arrangement I think.

I did see that Gleb caption and had a good laugh at it, also the wording of some of the articles! Don't know if they found out where Giovanni's blue coat was from for the fashion section though.

I know Sean's feelings aren't supposed to matter but I agree, that was pretty shoddy.

To me you get a lot more accurate info on snap chat (whatever Georgias snap chat is), twitter and instagram.

Attention seeking? The only time I know anything about what they're doing is if I go out of my way to go on to their social media platforms lile Twitter and Instagram to root through their business. Otherwise, not doing this, I have no clue about what they're doing or trying to 'gain our attention' from. Whatever news is written in online rags like the Daily Fail and such like, I take with a pinch of salt.

Indeed he's the 'inconvenient ex boyfriend' isn't he. Why can't millions of viewers just forget they saw him on screen supporting Georgia every Saturday.

His reputation and career apparently weren't supposed to matter either. Still he's come out of it better than both of them, sure he's moving on and will meet someone less shallow.

Because millions of viewers aren't arrogant enough to think they know the facts when they don't! No one knows what went on behind closed doors. I've read some pretty telling things from Georgia, her sister and some close friends. The situation doesn't seem as black and white as people think.

But people will believe what they want. Until the truth comes out then no one knows exactly what happened. Only difference is some of us realise that and don't sit behind our computer screens being judgemental and just plain nasty!

I'm not on social media myself. I do sometimes look at the twitter pages of pros and celebs I'm a fan of though aswell as the BBC ones.

The fact I stated was that Sean was Georgia's boyfriend throughout the series and was there most weeks to support her including the final. I realise that's inconvenient for GG fans who just want to see a love story with no complications shall we say. But it is a fact nonetheless.

I haven't read anything negative about Sean other than meaningless insinuations which I don't have time for. Oh and he 'looks moody and controlling'.

Family and friends of Georgia's will be biased.

Nothing's ever black and white. I don't have to like GGs public behaviour and how they've sanctioned their PR teams to act though.

It is a fact that he was 'shown' to be supporting her. A tweet from her sister says different. Again, who knows what goes on behind closed doors.

They may well be biased but stupid enough to post, saying some of the things they have, if no truth in them? Doubt it.

Few examples - someone called Georgia a cheating bitch and a family friend replied 'if the truth comes out you are going to look stupid' they also said 'the truth is very unsavoury' and 'the truth will out. Nothing is black and white' all of which Sean was tagged in.

Georgia has responded to some very judgemental comments with 'I didn't deserve what I went through either!' And 'if only you knew, if only you actually knew'

None of us know what happened. We probably never will. But there does seem to be more to it than people think.

I'm not sure how articles about the likes of Imogen Thomas roller skating and having picnics have made it on to the site otherwise.

I know not a Strictly example.

There's no substance to any of those social media comments though. And it's rather tacky publically tagging Sean in it all.

Georgia strikes me as someone whose public reputation matters to her, and who doesn't find it easy to admit fault. A bit 'princessy' maybe. But to publically try and slander Sean's reputation for the sake of hers was really out of order. All she really needed to say was 'yes I'm with Giovanni, I wish Sean the best' and accept a brief period of negative publicity. She did choose to continue her relationship with Sean throughout the show and be very public about it.

So true. Totally agree with you. My post was deleted for repeating some posts from the Appreciation thread. Really sad.

The two parts of your post I've emboldened are unsubstantiated statements.

It was Sean's mate who tagged him in the tweet. The one about calling Georgia a cheating bitch. So yes, it was tacky. But not the fault of Georgia or her friend.

Why should she accept the negative comments? Some of which are disgusting! If she's done nothing wrong?

The social media comments quoted are the sort of thing the gossips at my children's school come out with when they want to turn people against someone. All implied, no actual substance to it. Also very rarely true. I stay well away from all of that.

My view is if you have something to say about someone say it, otherwise don't say anything at all. Particularly about relationship difficulties, keep it private and even more so when you're in the public eye.

To accuse someone of being jealous and controlling and suggest there's something more sinister about the breakup as some have is a very serious accusation actually and could have been very damaging to Sean's reputation.

Message was about her fans, which you read before it was deleted. If you want other peoples opinions then don't press the .......

BIB 1: Without evidence you still can't say unequivocally that there's "no substance" to them.
BIB 2: Same again really, where's your evidence that she has said that?

If you are going to take part in a popular show like Strictly, be public about your relationship and stay with that person until the final, then less than two weeks later go on a relatively public holiday with your pro partner, be public about that new relationship straightaway showing no respect to your ex and then try and blame him for the whole thing then yes you should expect some negative comments.
