I have now got everything working just one query. The Youview box is connected to the TV With a HDMI lead and the Humax and the DVD player are connected to the TV with a three way HDMI HUB.On the TV input the youview is HDMI 1 and the Humax and the DVD player are HDMI 2.Not sure why but if I am using the Youview on HDMI 1 and turn the TV off it comes back on again after a while by it's self can someone explain why that would happen.Thank's

Depends whether you have got HDMI CEC enabled or not (called Anynet+ on Samsungs, Simplink on LGs, Viera Link on Panasonics and Bravia Sync on Sonys) on both the TV and any, or all, pieces of kit connected to the TV via HDMI.

If you have, and any of the remaining pieces of kit once you've turned the Youview off are switched on, then they may be waking the TV up by sending a signal to their respectiveHDMI input.

If you want total control switch HDMI CEC off on all kit (certainly on the TV, which will stop anything from waking it up). But it means that you will have to manually turn the TV on and off from now on, rather than having it wake up whenever you turn on another piece of kit that is connected to it.

Thank's Chasing Shadows I would prefer the old fashioned way of just pressing a button to start or turn off the TV so will try what you suggested and report back.Thank's again
