lip sync-common problem??
i am a dealer in pansonic , bang and olufsen and other home av equipment. tech knowledge is average to good.
friend has a samsung PS42V4S 42 " Plasma linked to a Bose lifestyle system. i believe the bose is an LS28. The two are linked via a GP scart to composite video lead for picture. he is getting massive lip sync, and seems unable to adjust. has tried swapping plasma for crt. works fine. i have experience small amounts of lip sync before, but none to this extent (2-3 secs). is there anyway around this? any help would be much appreciated. |

Not really unless you add a audio delay to match the processing delay of the plasma... a problem with them....... but it does seem a bit long!!!

Most times, switching channels away then back solves lip-synch.

Many STB do not lock teh Audio and vdieo together as well as they might and a Channel change resets the decoders and all is well for another few hours/ days
But devices like plasma take time to process the video so this also makes things worse!!! (And otherwise the braodacsters are not as good as they might be !) |

This happens to me with SkyDigital. If i turn the box off and then turn it back on, it's ok.
