I've enjoyed the whole series. Really do hope they can can come up with a worthy sequel that uses the same core characters and setting.
A couple of minor points I liked about the final episode.......... A character gets shot and wounded (Asgeir), and is effectively disabled, rather than (as in so many other programmes/films) continuining to run around as if nothing has happened to them. Another character (Hinrika) is realistically shown to be unable to break open a locked door, and has to actually seek for a key to open it with.

Earlier in the series, I thought he was involved in the trafficking. Maybe he is! (That element of the story was only skirted around, so, it could feature possibly more in depth, if there is a return.
I reckon the male figure seen in the background when she did her make up was the young lad having sexual relations with Aldis, the harbour-masters wife, he appears to be the go-to boy for ladies that lunch!
Poor Maggi, I see lots of counselling. Lots.
Very poignant how it turned out between Andri & his mother-in-law. Brilliant how she portrayed such a kindly lady & conveyed the bitterness in just a handful of scenes with no dialogue. Felt for her. And Andri!

To be honest, if it does continue, it would have to carry on whats left of the story, as Hinrika indicates, this is a small town where nothing happens & it would inevitably dilute whats gone on before if a whole new set of murders happen with an unrelated storyline. There's still enough rich material with this story imo.

She reminds me of the frumpy police chief that looks out for the female lead in The Bridge.
The final episode was set on 14th Feb, but nobody wished anyone a happy Valentine's Day. Wonder why? There were a few characters whose partners were still alive and hadn't split up with them!

They don't really celebrate Valentines day on 14th - they have their own traditional days.

I am sure one of my work colleagues mentioned an Icelandic delicacy of 'rotten' shark meat - makes the testicles sound quite good by comparison.....
Just two points to pick at after a hugely enjoyable series:-
1) Why was the freezer door open at the weekend? Could have been a maintenance defrost cycle except there were still stocks of frozen fish in there.
2) Surely the fire alarm system would *close* doors not open them?

Well, fire doors have to close automatically but activating a fire alarm normally unlocks any locked doors so everyone is able to get out via any route.
Hi, I've been reading through the Digital Spy forums for some time, but never joined. But I had to join to say how much I LOVED Trapped!
We tend to watch most of the European sub-titled series, and have enjoyed most of them, but this was excellent. I loved Andrii and his colleagues - I hope there is another series.

I found him very creepy as well. He looked awful and I'm not sure a policewoman could knowingly live with a dope smoker - unless they take a different view in Iceland. Was he a househusband? He didn't seem to do much except look pervy!

I only just finished this superb series last night (having watched the last six episodes over a week or so). It was so incredibly atmospheric, beautifully constructed, written and acted.
The cinematography was also wonderful in showing off all of Iceland's brutal and spectacular natural beauty as a fitting background to the drama.
In addition unlike so many crime shows on the box it tied up many (but not all) of the loose ends with a believable and satisfying finale.
Poor Adri - wandering off on his own - it was so very poignant wasn't it?

Saved the whole series for an Easter binge watch. Loved it and reading this thread! May visit ]Siglufjordur in the summer. Surprised how many daylight hours they seemed to have in the series and how people rush around in the snow. It only takes 1cm here and I'm like Bambi 
I guessed that Maggi and mum had a big part of play from the start and that dad was either the corpse or the mayor. Also guessed the killer was female but didn't click it was Maria. Absolutely adored Maggi; his sad little face.
Didn't take to Agnes, thought she was hedging her bets. Mean to turn up with new squeeze with little warning and what was all that phoning Andri with the "just wanted to hear your voice" stuff. Wouldn't have blamed Andri for wiping the smile off new BFs face when he was about to leave with wife and kids by telling him about their "reunion" but maybe Andri's a better person than me
Also didn't go with the kids just agreeing to go with mum without complaint especially after Agnes was waivering as to whether she was taking them or not. As for the girls bullying Maggi I thought that was indicative of their hurt by being left by mum . And of course it made us aware of Maggi's dadless situation.
Agree with posters that it was good to see "normal" looking people. A town full of tall blond(e) blue eyed stunners would have been too depressing. I too liked Henrika a lot. Just don't play poker love you wouldn't win
Couldn't work out the long list of extras in the credits. Even with the ferry passengers I didn't think the cast was that big. Loved that in true Icelandic tradition people's names were alphabetical by first name.
As someone mentioned up thread, whenever Sally Magnusson comes on the tv I shout out Magnusdottir!!
Hope we get more Icelandic shows. I agree with poster who mentioned the film Jar City, highly recommend it. I've just got Blue Eyes, Follow the Money and Thicker than Water to catch up on now.

Very late to this party, but did I dream that at some point, (probably ep 7,8 or 9), we saw Hinrika's husband in bed with Kolbrun? It was never mentioned and Hinrika obviously never found out, or am I getting mixed up with somebody else Hrafn's wife was sleeping with?
