That's not the same as being able to see the difference between HD Ready on an HD channel, and Full HD on an HD Channel, the difference in that case is much less than SD to HD.
Even on my 50 inch HD Ready plasma, a mere 1024 x 768, you can't see the screen 'dots' beyond 9 feet and from there, a Full HD set would not appear sharper or better. It's why I 'upgraded' from HD ready to a bigger HD Ready at a bargain price, just before plasmas disappeared! Some people with better than 20/20 vision might benefit but nobody in our family circle would.
So IMO, with an HD Ready 32 inch screen, you'd lose nothing compared with a Full HD screen of otherwise equivalent quality unless you go closer than 8 feet. Even if we move closer (sat on the floor!) the dots don't bother any of us and HD channels look far better than SD channels. This is on plasma though, I cannot speak for LCD/LEDs.
