I know its Valentines Day today but I noticed rumours that the Strictly curse may a struck again as Jay and Aliona have been spotted cuddling each other, do you think there is more to the pictures or do you think it is just a seasonal publicty stunt.

Here we go again! I saw those pictures - and more in the Daily Mail. The others show they are clearly not alone, looked like someone was taking a picture of them. It is also obvious from the other pictures that they are rehearsing. Granted Aliona dosn't help matters with the schmoozy expression but maybe she saw the photographer and was just teasing them?

I don't think they're a couple but maybe a little publicity hungry.

Aliona is all over him like a rash while Jay looks a bit reluctant... Call me old fashioned but in my book it's not really normal for a married woman to be in clinches like this. She must have a very understanding husband but even still, it can't be nice for him to see photos like this even if her and Jay really are just good friends.

Rehearsing at an after party? That's dedication.

I think if it really is a rehearsal(?) then maybe Jay should put a little feeling into it as he looks like a plank of wood in these pictures

I don't think they're dating (or anything else), but I'm curious why people would think they would be rehearsing 1) at an after party 2) when the tour is nearly over?

They are not 'dating' because she's married. Personally I think if they were having an affair they'd perhaps be a little more discreet about it, but who knows? Her husband must be a very tolerant and understanding man, that's all I'm going to say on the matter

Based on Jay's posture there is nothing more than friendship. Plus I suspect Jay is fully aware of how things might look to Vince, so he is making sure Vince has nothing to worry about.

I said exactly the same thing in the other thread, or maybe the word gullible could also be used. If that's not a look of love I don't know what is.

I don't think anything will come out now, but I wouldn't be at all shocked if some months down the line we saw something like "Aliona leaves husband for dance partner" in the papers.

Aliona will (probably) be doing one of two things quite soon.

a) starting a family with her new husband

or

b) Doing a touring show - in which case she needs to be able to help put "bums on seats" in theatres.
Therefore any publicity she can garner would be welcomed by a producer.

I don't think they're dating or rehearsing. Whatever they are doing, Aliona looks like she's doing something different to Jay. If it was anything untoward they probably wouldn't do it in front of a massive window when they know there are paps around. Not sure why Aliona would be 'publicity hungry' - considering she has said she wants to give up dancing and start a family she hardly needs publicity and as her husband is wealthy she's not in a situation like Kristina where she needs to make money.

If they are doing this for publicity then they really need better PR advisors, as do G & G.

Looks to me you people should stop calling Jay a 'plank of bloody wood' because this so called plank of wood has won the show, won the tour easily but is still decent enough to show up to dance for the thousands who are attending, if this 'plank of wood' was really what you say he is then why are millions appreciating the guy! As for Aliona she really doesn't need the publicity unlike some people not naming anyone.. I'm going to stop before I say something unlike me. I know this isn't the tours winner thread but just to let you people know Jay the apparent 'plank of wood' and Aliona have won today's matinee.

No one has actually said Jay is like a plank of wood in reference to his dancing, so his winning isn't really relevant here. They said he looks like a plank of wood in the pictures this thread refers to - which he kind of does with his arms hanging down at his sides while Aliona does whatever it is she is doing.

I've heard the phrase 'plank of wood' so many times during the actual show I thought people would have seen past that. By the way hopefully I'm not coming on as aggressive I do have strong opinions on things but digs like that do annoy me quite a bit and Aliona being publicity hungry I think they are looking in the wrong place to be quite frank but hey ho that's how I feel.

These two really confuse me.....I know Jay is supposed to have a girlfriend and Aliona is married but.....it's the way they look at each other they look like a couple in love....you really can't blame people for thinking there may be feelings....I don't think for one minute anything has happened but I just can't understand the looks and body language.....goodness knows

That would be me who said he looks like a plank of wood in the pics and that would be because he does. ... And of course he is still showing up to dance in a tour he has already won; he's contracted to be there until the end I presume whether he won the tour or not. It's hardly out of the ordinary for the tour celebrities to be there until the end so I'm not too sure what you mean.

Also there have been numerous occasions were Aliona (and other SCD pros) have benefited from publicity and have willingly supplied the press with opportunities for photos.
