The trouble is, what with the antics of Chas and Cain, a false witness (Ryan, no doubt), the police might well believe this is just a campaign of hatred against Gordon. We know that is not true, but we know what soap police are like.
It also annoys me that it was Chas and Cain who more or less bullied Aaron in going o the police now they want him to dropit.Also, of course, Aaron will remember that it was Robert who encouraged him to tell Chas.

Though I quite like Robert, I always wish he had confided in Adam - provided they didn't do anything silly (i.e. criminal)
