A big moment. Perhaps a positive trial result isn't right for this. Maybe it needs to be something relationship centred.

A big bust up, row about something and then a big moment of confessional feelings and honesty and THEN a proper reunion?”

Here's the thing about jealousy week it takes place literally right before the trial. The trial we've been told is critical to Aaron and Robert's relationship in the future. That's the catalyst for them to reunite. So what do we think can happen here with the jealousy? I don't think much because there isn't much time to develop that kind of plot.

The other thing is a real triangle plot would not involve a woman it has already been established that Robert is not really in love with. That's a dead end plot wise. Could Robert cheat in the future? Sure he could. Will the person who has a chance at stealing his affection be Chrissie? No.

I would fancy Zack before Paddy, to be honest. I find Paddy the least fancy-able of them all! LOL

Hi all!! My internet is back....

Any chance of Robert and/or Aaron being in tonight's episode?

It's just from what's being said, it looks like Liv comes and lives in the village, so that means that Gordon might be found guilty but nobody knows what's going to happen to Sandra. She's only a temporary character. So if Sandra goes and Gordon goes to jail. Who is going to look after Liv.

I'd agree, only it seems from Andy's hints that he thinks (or "thinks"?) that the jealousy will be more important than that. With the immediate aftermath of the trial week being "sad" according to Kirsten that doesn't seem like a reunion straight after, so in that case the trial/verdict won't be the catalyst for a reunion if the result of that doesn't lead to them getting together straight away.

I don't really get the impression Sandra is going to jail. She met with the police gave her statement and came back looking relieved. Liv probably will have problems with Sandra, she hasn't been the best mother.

I don't get the impression that the sad week after the trial would have to do Chrissie and Robert. Its a rape trial guys. Not a pleasant event in anyone's life.

If the outcome of the trial is important to their relationship Robert will step up.

This. I dont think the sad week after the trial is at all about the jealousy thing. She said it was about Aaron.

Thing is it looks like the trial may not wrap until beginning of May in terms of sentencing so Aaron still has to face going back to court three weeks after the verdict so he won't be in the headspace for a reunion. He'll be in limbo

I didn't mean that.

My point was more a general wondering that there might be a catalyst to the reunion post-trial that would be more relationship centred. I know some people have expressed discomfort in the idea of a reunion immediately following the trial verdict. I was wondering if there might be another up-and-down soapy drama moment before a reunion that wasn't to do with the trial.

I`m nervous about the sentencing. I need him to go away for a long time.

True, I don't think Sandra will go to jail either. But I'm just wondering if you get any time for not telling the authorities about the abuse. Sort of preventing the course of justice type thing. They might quiz her in the trial process about the fact that she didn't report it when it happened.

From personal experience, sometimes you don't do time even when you knew exactly what was going on

It's sad, but sometimes the people who know about it, are as much to blame as the people who did it. I mean that they could of done something about it but they didn't.

I'm just going by the filming on 21st/22nd March as thinking sentencing will be separate. They like to make Aaron suffer, don't they?

They do yeah I'm hoping there's an explanation for the filming, there wasn't many of them spotted like before.. I would have thought they'd all want to see him sentenced with Aaron oh idk, I'm hoping his sentence is trial week.

I look on them both and I never really see the filming locations or filming days. Is there anything I need to look at. Any hashtags that I need to type in.

OMG, I tweeted Emmerdale on twitter saying "Please let Robert buy the pub!! " I've just checked my notifications and they liked it. So that only mean one thing. Robert might actually buy the pub.

I haven't been on the main or daily threads for a little while now because (especially with the daily one) I've become more than a little disturbed by the casual cruelty that seems, to me, to be displayed on there. It's as if some people can't help but make really crass, distasteful and (in some cases) downright insensitive jokes/comments about storylines/ characters which I find really hard to read. I'm sure they'd argue they're only joking and don't really mean it (and the amount of smilies would seem to support that) and I know I am particularly sensitive (my job involves an acute awareness of how powerful words can be, which makes me extremely careful about what I say, and even more so what I put down on paper/the screen = you have more time, you should do a better job!) and I realise that we are (for the most part) talking about fictional characters on a TV show but I still find it really hard to read when I think about how someone who is in that situation (being/looking after someone who has dementia, being someone who was experienced abuse, being someone who has lost someone and who has been devastated by the grief etc) might feel/react if they were to read them, so I have stopped doing it. Which might be the best thing that everybody on here who gets so riled up by the main/daily threads can do - there really is enough in life that gets us stressed/upset that we just can't avoid, so whenever there is something I can do that reduces other avoidable trigger points I tend to try and do it.
And I DO realise that I've been mega-hypocritical here - asking people not to talk about other threads on here and then doing exactly that - but I hope you will (at least) understand why and (hopefully) forgive me for it.”

Good post
