Amazing final episode - even had tears in my eyes for the last 5 minutes, hope we get to see season 5 very soon, though I feel a DVD purchase coming on asap

Of all the US shows I watch atm this is probably my very favourite.

Amongst the furious action the main characters are all so well drawn and we actually care about what happens to them (including the excellent Elias, the most sympathetic gangster in TV history).

I also love how people from previous series return to give the show a real sense of continuity, Caleb for example and Dominic previously mentioned how a temporary professor talking about Pi had inspired him whilst sitting at the back of the class - it was Harold of course.

As for the episode it was superb.

The Machine's emotional farewell to her father, Greer easily turning the tables on Control, Lionel saving the day twice (as Elias was still alive though gravely wounded I think) and Dominic meeting his maker.

Brilliant stuff and what an emotional final few moments!

Roll on series five.

Well the fact that there was no mention of showing season 5 once the episode has finished makes me even wonder if Channel 5 have the rights to that season yet

So I'm guessing end of year at the earliest but properly next year which will be annoying as the internet will be flooded with spoilers by then about how the show ends!

Loved the final episode of season 4 though and the shoot out as they escaped with the basics of the machine

Shocked a little bit by Elias and Dominic deaths but it makes sense!

I think Elias and Dominic dying was obvious. Season 5 is gonna be about taking down Samaritan which I think will involve Shaw. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long for it.

Yes that's why I said that Elias and Dominic deaths makes sense as Samaritan needs to clear the numbers that the machine saved!

However that doesn't stop me being shocked when it happens

I think we are in for a long wait but maybe Netflix might get it like we hoped last season!

Well Channel 5 have a link on their Twitter to the FAQ about Person Of Interest season 5 where they say it's still too soon to say if they will be transmitting Person Of Interest Season Five!

That sounds to me like they will not be showing it as its been picked up elsewhere otherwise they would have confirmed it!

I still think it was out of character for her to not kill Greer, once she realised that she had lost. There was plenty of time that I was shouting at her, to just kill him, and I couldn't believe when she didn't even consider that option

True - but I think she went into shock - plus there may have been a gun trained on her at all times from somewhere.

Regardless of any artistic licence this is a fantastically entertaining show and even if CH5 (which has treated it like dirt) does not bother with series 5 I will buy the DVD instead (and perhaps the full boxset).

I really like the idea of secular computer Gods - and it could happen within the century.

Utterly chilling when you think about it.

Indeed. They also state that series four changed timeslots due to rating not being as high as they hoped.

Why has Person Of Interest moved from its Wednesday timeslot?
Updated March 24, 2016 14:24

Unfortunately Series 4 was not rating as highly as we had hoped, so has been moved to the later times of 22:55 and 23:50 on Monday nights on Channel 5.

Will you be showing Series 5 of Person Of Interest ?
Updated May 11, 2016 15:17

It is too soon to say is we will be transmitting Series 5 of Person Of Interest.
I say all of us should contact Channel 5 customer services requesting season 5

Yes otherwise we might not be able to see season five in the UK at all which would be terrible!

I LOVE PoI and will definitely buy the box set when S5 has been aired. I hope it is aired on some UK channel because it tends to delay the release of the DVDs if it hasn't been picked up at all.

Has S5 been completed / aired in the US yet?

It would be like Season 5 of Chuck all over again which still hasn't been shown over here, more than 4 years after it finished in the States

I would have thought Netflix would get it. Of no help to those without the service, I guess. But you could always get a free month and binge-watch it

Just checked and it's available on one of my dodgy online streaming sites, so if it does go straight to netflix I would be able to watch it there, I would rather wait and see if channel 5 will show it though.

No sign of it yet on Channel 5 which is strange as the way Channel 5 showed it in double bills late at night seemed to be that they wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible!

So I thought they would do the same with season five unless it suddenly appears on Netflix soon!

It's a real shame if they cannot be arsed to show season 5.

But the disgraceful way they have pissed the series about in the last few years I am not very surprised to be honest.

I believe Channel 5 have a life of show deal for POI similar to other CBS shows they had like CSI and it's spinoffs and The Mentalist.

So not sure what happens if they can't be bothered to show it. I would have thought even if they believe it rates to low for C5 even in the latest possible graveyard slot before the overnight roulette, they could burn it off on 5USA. Given they are happy to buy more and more secondary UK rights on there for shows like Rookie Blue and Chicago Fire to go with Chicago PD, then first run rights to POI must have some value to them.

I would have thought at some point reruns on a channel like Universal may work seeing as they market they broadcast shows on "characters" and this has strong leads.

It's strange it's taken so long for season 4 of POI to get to Netflix as they had the whole of season 3 when Channel 5 were only halfway through showing that season!

I still get the feeling it won't be until early 2017 before Channel 5 start showing season 5 in a late night double bill slot to get rid of it like they did before!
