Is it gonna have her driving her wheelchair down the street stoned off of her face banging into people?

Is it gonna be where serious discussions are taking place in the factory and she will be just sitting at her machine giggling to herself?

Will it lead to her getting sacked because she is always off to roy's on a munchie binge?

Or is it just gonna be her wallowing in the pub/in the kain/the bistro, in earshot of people, that shes a terrible mum for getting high and we never actually see her 'stoned?'

I think it has potential.

I think it is just about ticking boxes to cover 'Issues' - Racism (Lloyd) , ADHD (Max), domestiv violence (Simon), modern slavery (Marta) children having babies (Faye), blackmail (Steph), adultery (90% of the characters at some time or other). drugs (Callum). Izzie's cannabis storyline is probably being shown to start a debate on whether it should be legalised, or not.

Izzy is bound to get arrested (along with Erica, maybe) at some point.

Corrie's producers won't want to be seen to condone drug use (in spite of having Tracy Barlow get away with murder after a brief prison stint).

Then the storyline will fizzle out.

So right, and seeing them listed like that makes it even more obvious how much of it has been happening recently! Enough with making a statement through soaps, they're called soaps for a reason - fluffy, sudsy and indulgent. Not meant to be activism parading as entertainment.

Won't go anywhere I don't think. Done for the discussions., that's all.

Also, maybe it will improve the acting? Because, it isn't that up to standard of Corrie really, it's almost Sean Tully standard

How do people who use cannabis for pain relief take it. Do they smoke it?

Viewers will be punished with lots of close up shots of Izzy's crying face when she inevitably gets caught. Gary will go off like a bull in a china shop and say she isn't fit to have Jake and threaten to get full custody. More close ups of Izzy gurning, I mean drying. Anna will screech like a banshee at Erica for supplying, then be all "What was you thinking love." to Izzeh. Can't wait.

Have no interest in this storyline at all. I think it's pointless

I was wondering what Gary and Anna's reaction might be. You may have answered my question. Thank you.

I don't take it, but I have an auto immune disease that fuses my spine together, Ankylosing Spondylitis. I've read about people, especially in America, that smoke it to ease the pain.
It could be a really good storyline if done properly but I think it will be ruined.

I think Corrie are doing the story because they are for the legalization of cannabis

No, I believe it's being done to show that some people DO rely on cannabis for pain relief in certain illnesses, in which cases it maybe should be available legally through the NHS, though not necessarily for free.

I believe they are doing it just for publicity and that's it. There is no way any of the writers actually care about the issues

Probably nowhere. It will be dropped and forgotten, just like the poverty of the Windass-Armstrong household. And everything else.

I suppose some do but you could bake biscuits or a cake with it.

Cue the hilarious s/l where some unsuspecting person eats a biscuit without realising..........

Thankyou

I can imagine people who do use cannabis for pain relief do it quietly for ages without drawing attention to themselves, but I don't suppose it'll be like that for Izzie

Not forgetting: the right to die (Hayley), depression (Steve), gambling addiction (Carla), childhood cancer (Hope), homelessness (Maddie), gay vicar/homophobia (Billy and Sean).... there's probably loads more from the last few years of Blackburn's reign too.

That "racist" storyline with Lloyd was probably the crappiest of them all. "Playing the white man", serious? Lol. And the fact everyone in the street got offended was completely laughable.
