"There's Got To Be A Way" is one of my favourite songs of Mariah's, from her 1990 debut album. It almost seems to be a forgotten track for many people and is usually left off any compilations, which is a shame as I think it's a terrific song. It's wonderfully sung, has good sentiments lyrics-wise, and the video is so of it's time, it's fun to watch - the dancing and Mariah in double denim, lol! I love the gospel choir on the song and as for Mariah's whistle note near the end - amazing as always. Here's the link to the official video:

Anyone else love this song? Admittedly I do prefer the original version on her album rather than the remixed version in the video but it's still great.

I'm not a huge Mariah fan but I consider this song (or rather the album version) her best. The final minute or so with the choir is everything. I do wish she would make music like this again but fat chance of that. She seems rather toffee nosed about her older songs - especially the one's from the first two albums.

I love this song! I do prefer the 7" remix to the album version though. It's incredibly nineties and bombastic, I love it

I'm going to see Mariah next month, I doubt she'll be dusting this one off, more's the pity.

I don't think that's she's toffee nosed about them, I think she just feels like Daydream onwards was her how she wanted to be seen rather than her as Tommy Mottola wanted her to be seen.
