'Search' problems in DS Forum
Is it just me who can't fathom out how to work the 'search' buttons on this forum?
![]() I'm pretty sure I used to be able to search for certain topics in threads/thread titles before but now they seem to have changed and don't seem to work very well. I was actually looking for 'Greytops' old news thread which used to be used for all the SCD related news articles. There seems to be a new thread bring made up for every SCD headline where perhaps we could have a general thread PINNED to the first page that all general articles can go into. If someone could explain to me how to use the DS 'search' options it would be greatly appreciated.

In my experience the search facility doesn't work. Perhaps someone can explain how it works for them.
Your best bet is to type Digital Spy into Google, followed by the title of the thread. It'll find it straight away. It's what I do. There you go. I've done it for you. http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1342744 |

Sorry but my bulk thread got lost and I did not know that there even was a search facility never mind know how to use it. I also had to create threads to continue other old threads that had got lost.

Keeping up with the SCD news is great so thanks for your efforts but perhaps keeping them all in one thread would make it easier all round.

First time I've tried it for ages. It's working at the moment!

I wrote to DS about this a while back and they said something about it being because of.... ah, I really can't remember now, but in other words- they know, they're working on it and it's not your fault. Although I see from someone else's post that it was working for them. That said- I've had moments when it's worked for me and then it's gone back to not working the following day.

It's not only the 'search' facility that doesn't seem to work.
It used to be if you clicked on your own name you could find your own most recent posts, but now it just seems to show posts dating back months ago. Very annoying if you want to look back on a thread to see if there were any comments on any particular post. |

The easiest way is to do a Google search on what you want to find but add on Digital Spy as well. |
