Best way to make Chicken Chow Mein?
I've been enjoying eating Chow Mein for dinner recently. The M&S one £2.50 or the Tesco One £1.65..
How can I make the same for cheaper? and quickly |

The BBC website has a recipe. It's for kids so it's pretty simple. And because everything is stir fried at a high heat, it's quick too. See what you think:

Poach and then shred a chicken breast.
Rehydrate the dried noodles. Slice white onion. Have been sprouts at the ready. Garlic & ginger puree is optional. Some chicken stock or powder (http://www.knorr.co.uk/product/detai...icken-granules) Soy sauce. Stirfry onions, then add the chicken, then garlic/ginger, add noodles then a splash of stock and soy. Finish with beansprouts. That is a basic chicken chow mein. |

There's never any white onion in a chow mein. Spring onion only. It does make a difference to the balance of flavours.

Better tell Sharwoods then. Surely they are breaking some law or other.

Look up a reputable Chinese takeaway, ring them up and say "I'd like chicken chow mein please"
