Today i shot some really nice footage using 4k from my Nexus 6P. Are there any sites out there apart from Youtube than you can use. I have no way of getting the footage onto my Macbook so only option is my phone. Ive looked at the youtube Mobile app and it only says upto 360p.

May I ask why you can't use a USB cable with Android File transfer? If not I think Vimeo does 4K now?

If just plug your phone into your Mac with the standard USB cable it generally isn't recognised. You have to use this piece of software from Google which will allow you to browse the phone's file system. You'll be looking for a folder called DCIM which will have your footage in. https://www.android.com/filetransfer/

Otherwise try YouTube which should work for 4K with the main app or Vimeo which I think works, we use it for stuff at work sometimes and I think they use 2 or 4k.

you could also just upload the vid to your google drive in the gallery app on your phone select the share option and select the google drive option, then goto drive.google.com and download it to the mac, if my cousin can do it i have all the confidence youll be fine,

just make sure you're on wifi as a 4k recording would eat your data away on mobile unless on AYCE

I've just realised the 6P is going to use a USB-C to USB-C cable isn't it? You'd need a different cable unless you have the new 12" MacBook.
